You've made Sackboy sad.
This image is doing the rounds. It's CBS's coverage of the SEGA hack:
Thar's almost as bad as the Pac Man sound effect being the generic sound effect for every single game featured in a movie.
I better go unplug my Genesis from X-Band!
Good stuff but I like to change things up and play what i feel like playing. I have already made a decision that after Infamous 2 I will finally play Fallout cause I think I will have a week off, at least from traveling. Finding which major single player game is not the issue for me I usually play one and stick with it. Its when I beat them but I still want to do stuff with them and a new game comes out and that game gets stuck in limbo. I want to platinum LA Noire, but I want to platinum a bunch of other games too. Uncharted 2 I have had for almost two years and I just lost track of platinuming it. Stuff like that. And LBP2, how do I fit that in, do I play in short bursts or do I devote all my time to it as if it was just released so that I can really sink into creating and playing new levels. Downloable stuff I play in between the retail releases so I usually have two games going on at once.
The truth is I could be doing better with my selection of games. Honestly Infamous 2 is so much like the first game I wouldnt really be missing anything if I never played it. Of course I wouldn't know that if I never played it. So now I am almost done with it and its great but I have played this before. I much rather be playing Mass Effect 2, god I need to beat that game like two more times to see it all.
Its not so much how to attack the games I have, I can figure that out. Its why do I have so many, why do I keep buying when I haven't finished the ones I have. And I dont mean major releases I want, those I will get no matter what. Its those games that are on sale that are impulse buys, they drive me nuts.
I think Outland is better than Infamous 2.
Outland is really really good. Downloadble game of the year I feel.
Good thing my brother has had his Genesis collecting dust in the closet for 15 years now...wouldn't want any info stolen.
You guys bring up some interesting points about how you arrange your games. Back in the day, I used to have a shelf that I put all my games stacked up on, by system, and by genre. So a PS2 stack, Gamecube stack, Xbox stack, etc. Then, I would have a seperate stack with all my new/unfinished games from every system, in the order I was planning on playing them.
And I'll tell you what, granted, I don't have as much time to play now, and there's also more quality games to play than ever before these days....but I used to finish games much faster back then and I think it has a lot to do with the way I had that setup. I would play no more than 2 games at a time, and whenever a really major game was out, I would play only that until it was done, then move on.
Nowadays, I have all my games in a big mess and instead of having about a dozen new games in an easy to finish stack, I have a zillion new games and I don't even know where to begin! And the whole thing with downloadable stuff just makes it worse...now I have invisible new games to play that I easily forget about!
Sigh.....sometimes I yearn for the simpler times.
This is what I'm saying....that's the problem these days!!! There are so many more GOOD games these days than ever before, that you can build up an insane amount of shit to play in no time flat, that will take you YEARS, and many vacations of just gaming, to get through. Back in the day we had our AAA masterpieces and a FEW good filler games in between....it was tit! Nowadays, the entire year every year for the past, what, 10 years now....is FULL OF GOOD FILLER!!! On top of AAA games getting released all throughout the year!!!
Its killing us as gamers. I really think we need less good filler.....maybe do like Ed Fries was talking about back in the day and instead of having 100 GOOD games a year, merge all these teams together and get 40 GREAT games instead. So to speak.
I'm not much of a figurine guy, but I saw these and just had to grab them and stick them on my fuckin wall:
Now I want the whole set.
^ NICE!

Wow! Northwest of nowhere! That's where it is! I've never been there! You'll have to let me know what it's like!
I know. It's ridiculous that the PS3 is just now at the PS2 launch price.
I leave from there back home next tuesday. RE comes out next tuesday. I am going to preorder from BB ($10 gift card when you do) and have a store pickup in Elmira, so strange. At least I get to play Mercs on the way home.
I am doing some quick reviews, I am so backed up with them. Next up MK.
And the Sega Channel too!
I had one of those, it came with a 2400 baud modem LOL that really was the first online gaming!
