Christ I forgot what it's like to argue with a genuine dyed in the wool fanboy. On my wife's Facebook there was a guy who said, and I quote, "The Microsoft Conference Killed. Sony and Nintendo go NOTHING to compete with this."
She actually watched the conference with me, and while her gaming interest is non-existant outside of the Sims and Angry Birds, even she was underwhelmed by the conference and is now arguing with him. So now I'm feeding her lines and watching this guy go into super fanboy mode. It's downright amusing.

Cmon...its always complete bullshit whenever somebody tries to say they're not making another game in a major series. They released 3, then tried to act like ODST wasn't a full game by adding the "3" into the title and hurting its sales in the process, even though it WAS a full game, and better than Halo 3 itself. Then Reach....and now they're going to milk the shit out of it with an unnessessary remake and Halo 4, 5, 6, etc...this is why Bungie left.
I just hope the series stays quality and doesn't start to annoy me to the point of wishing it would go away.
I'm sure Gears of War 3 and Mass Effect 3 will be the end of those series as well. And Metroid Prime 3 was the end of Metroid.

Apparently it's a highly profitable project for Sony. There is a subset of Second-Life types who live in there and haev built a community and they buy the fuck out of all the little extras.

I guess not much happened at the Microsoft event huh? Doesn't seem like it anyway. And Sony's is at 8pm east coast? I thought that Nintendo kicked it off this year for some reason...I was surprised to see Sony and Microsoft were going 1st today. I'm really most excited to see the new Nintendo console obviously, as I'm sure many people are. 12pm tomorrow can't come soon enough!!!
Honestly, E3 crept up on me fast the past week...I can't believe its here and we'll be seeing HD Nintendo tomorrow.

This is kind of cool, but I doubt I'll pick it up. You can only play that game so many times. However, if it reopens the series for development (and not these shitty mini-game Maximum magazine catering piece of crap games), I'd be thrilled. Got to have Al Lowe at the helm though or it won't be worth a damn. By the way, as far as bad writing for video game news, I think this paragraph from the article takes the cake:

FarCry 3 is all.
Far Cry 3 should be cool....I liked FC2 but it seriously lacked some variety. Towards the middle I was already getting tired of doing the same kinds of missions over and over. Hopefully they fix that.
I liked the bot missions in the first one (on the PC). I found the enemy AI in the campaign to be horrible, which is odd given the bots inteh side missions where so good.
It's multi-plat (FC3), so hopefully they don;t give the high-end PC guys short shrift.
Steel the new Morbid Angel and Arch Enemy CD's come out tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to the new Morbid in particular because I've always been a huge fan of theirs and its their 1st new album since 2003, and the 1st one with original vocalist, bassist David Vincent since 1995. On top of that, since their drummer just had back surgery, this dude named Tim Yeung is playing drums and touring with them, and he played in a band called Vital Remains, whom the guitarist/songwriter Tony Lazaro used to play in my brothers band in the 80's. Very cool!
Online Co-op in the original Halo sounds like a lot of fun to me. I assume no price point or distribution method was announced? 1080p November 15 release was the only thing of substance on the official site.
