ABC News uses our ridiculous big-boobed pterodactyl joke as serious DoA screenshot

Taking screenshots from the internet is a risky business, as ABC News just found out. In their rather sensationalist story about Dead or Alive Dimensions being banned in Sweden over child pornography laws and the even more unbelieveable 'PG' rating offered by the Autralian ratings board, they made a tiny mistake. In order to illustrate the article, they used what seemed to them like a perfectly normal screenshot of Dead or Alive. Only it wasn't - it was one of our daft Photoshops. Egg, meet face.

Its starting to look a lot like E3!  Wooo!!

Looking forward to the LA Noire DLC. I really think the game is at its best when the stories are smaller and self contained, so these should be very good.

1. Skyward Sword is complete, but still needs debugging/testing.

2. There will be a demo at E3 with three different aspects of the game explored: Flying combat, overworld + sky exploration, desert dungeon.

3. Skyward Sword girl's name is "Dorella."

4. Magician from GDC trailer's name is "Nephiburoo," he'll be a part of a group of evil sorcerers who wish to obtain the Triforce.

5. Ganondorf is in the game briefly as a child. Isn't too important to the story.

6. Zelda has a new design, similar to an Egyptian princess with brown hair. She's still recognizable however.

7. Full orchestrated soundtrack by the person responsible for Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack. (This one is actually true, but I do wonder if the poster only put this one in to make the rumors more believable.)

8. Two overworlds: Skyloft and Hyrule. Contrast is similar to Heaven and Hell.

9. Ten minute live-action prologue that'll be posted on the net a couple of months before release. (Zelda Williams Secret Shoot? Zelda is rumored to have brown hair and take on an Egyptian princess aesthetic. It COULD fit.)
10. After you complete the game, the game goes into a storyless, neverending epilogue. Every dungeon in the game gets another dungeon inside of it utilizing everything you've obtained in the game with new bosses. New areas on the overworld are unlocked in places you wouldn't expect. Similar to the original Zelda.

11. Game will feature horse riding and boat riding. Not as expansive as seen in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, however, but a boat will be required to complete some dungeons.

12. Coming November 1st, 2011.

DmC rumors

-Apparently, the demo has been "finished" for a while now, since back in February at least. Capcom employees have played it and say that it feels just like other DMC games, although no one can vouch for their level of DMC expertise. The reason NT hasn't revealed anything yet is apparently because they were only four months into development when they announced the game, and obviously the fan backlash has made them wary of showing anything that isn't polished to absolute brilliance.


-The leak believes he/she knows why they went with UE3 instead of MT Framework. He/She says it was because MT Framework is usually handled by a small team and is written in Japanese, and it was just better for NT to use an engine they had worked with before.


-As for the demo itself, the leak says that NT apparently has not dumbed down the difficulty, and that it has a fairly steep learning curve like past DMC games. Also, the combat appears very, very fluid (no comparisons given here), and appears to be running at a locked 30 fps. Of course, we don't know if that will hold with tons of enemies on screen.


-Leak says that the "highlight" of the demo, or possibly game, is Dino's morphing weapon shown in the trailer. No word on how it works but apparently it looks awesome.


-It is confirmed that NT has added a cooldown period to firearms so they can't be spammed like in the past games. I don't know if this is good or bad.


-He/She confirmed that Dino's look hasn't changed, although they only played the demo and they admit they know nothing about the story. So I don't think this is a confirmation of anything except NT not caving to the demands of fans and changing the base design.


-Overall, they say that the gameplay is pretty solid for the build that they played. Again, they know nothing of the story, and they don't particularly like anything else about the game, but that's how it is. Gameplay enthusiasts should be happy.
