Ahhhh, nothing beats getting shit for free. Downloaded Infamous and Wipeout on my main account, and I'm currently DLing SSD HD and Dead Nation on my US account. Still have to log onto my european account to get that Ratchet game to fulfill my free shit quota. Too bad I don't own a PSP.

In a town that is not my own, I get into a car that is not my own and drive to a coffee shop that is not one of my regular haunts. Everything is foreign. Everything is unfamiliar. Family isn't around. Best friend is on a honeymoon somwhere on the other side of the world. I feel lost, vulnerable and despair is starting to creep in.

I get to the Starbucks that has none of the flavor of my usual city coffee shop and start up my brand-spanking new Kindle. I notice how it doesn't look or feel like my old one, and even this depresses me a little bit.

...but then something happens...

As my eyes glide across the words and I start to take in the introductory chapters of The Hunger Games, there's FINALLY something familiar to me! ...and it is ME! I remember how much I love to read and how long it's been since I read something new. I drink my coffee, I read an hour or two away and I utterly lose myself... and find myself all at the same time.

I must admit that I am ashamed of myself for how much the loss of my home is affecting me. Afterall, it is just the "stuff" that I've lost that I've always told myself was never really important anyway... It's taking it's toll though and has been a great weight on me for the last few weeks.

Tonight was just a reminder that the important parts of me still are there with me, tried and true through all that has transpired...

...and I owe a debt of Gratitude to Travo for making me see it! Thank you for remembering how much I love to read, even when I myself forgot. Thank you for recommending the book! It is very good and it feels oddly appropriate at the moment... Sometimes the simplest of actions, brings about the most monumental of effects and this has helped me more than you could ever know! Thank you a thousand times!

Between you and my return to reading and Steel and Vader with a little MK action, I am starting to feel more and more like myself every day!
