"Natsume say that the first Harvest Game for the Nintendo Gamecube is the best-selling title in the series so far."
Was the the first 3D one Robio? That is my recollection.
It's Punk Rebel Ecks troll time.
PONY POWER!!!

Me too, but I'm not at my home base today or tomorrow. Most days I can play after 0600 UTC (Which is 2 am EDT). On US Friday and Saturday I have more regualr time availability because that is our weekend down here.
ARGH. NOT HERE TOO. GOD FUCKING DAMMIT.
Nintendo of Europe can confirm that it will be bringing the epic RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles to Europe for Wii. The title, already launched in Japan, brings to life a universe where two worlds called Bionis and Mechonis fight a war that knows no end.
Join the battle for Bionis to repel the invasion of a terrifying mechanical army and uncover the secrets of a mystical sword called the Monado.
Xenoblade Chronicles will be launching later this year for Wii featuring both English and Japanese voice-overs and will be fully subtitled in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Keep checking www.nintendo.dk for further information on this epic new adventure for Wii.
From PR email sent to GAF member (and other Nintendo DK users I suppose). For those who don't remember it:

Looks like GG's return brought us some luck. A UK page for it is up now. The trailer is an old Japanese one, lol.

Wow, saw the Xenoblade story.
Nintendo Europe strikes again. They many not be great, but they are better than Nintendo America. We got no Excitebots but we did get Another Code R, Disaster Day of Crisis and now Xenoblade. Hope it comes to the USA too.
A few more RE Mercenaries pics.
More here.
Also I was playing the hell out of SSFIV 3DS last night. I thought that maybe the game was using two in game engines, one for the close ups which look excellent, 360 quality. And then a lesser engine for the side on viewpoint. However I played through the whole of the arcade mode in the Dynamic view -over the shoulder viewpoint in 3D. And yeah the gameplay visual quality is there. I was playing as Hakan and the guy is dripping with detailed shaders.
Also, I have read that some reviewers do not like that some parts of the background are 2D. It's true, but there are 3D objects too. Personally I like the 2D backdrops it actually makes me smile a lot because of the 3D display, what they have done is made some 2D artwork and shifted it back into the screen using 3D. You get a great diahorama effect and it's a great way for devs to make 3D effect games on a handheld without having to worry about the cost of making art assets or worrying about engine performance. When the 3D is turned to max it looks like someone has built a little toy set inside your 3DS and the figures have magically come to life. Very cool.
The whole game is depth effects though. Personally I found the out of the screen stuff in Nintendogs to be more impressive as it breaks down the 4th wall when the game comes out of the screen. It was a holy shit moment and even more suprising that it was crystal clear. It's not fudged 3D or sort of 3D, in game it's crystal clear on both SF4 and Nintendogs.
You just had to remind me, didn't you?
Oh Robio, I just read that Harvest Moon a Wonderful Life on GC is the highest selling HM game. I put 50 hrs into that game, loved it.
Black bars but it's still out of resolution. It's just scaled up with a vertical limit put on the axis. Borrow a DS Lite from someone and compare the same game.
I have to try out the 1:1 thing but I hear that because the 3DS screens are higher resolution you end up with a sharper but ironically smaller than original DS screen space to view.
EDIT: Okay did the start, select thing. It's terrible, you will know when it's in effect as you lose about half the screen on both screens with giant black borders on the top, left and right on the top screen. The screen is so small you just wont want to play DS games like that. Then I played it in normal 3dS mode and then tried the same game in my DS Lite.
Yeah, the 3DS is stretching the DS image across both screens and it's not pretty. It's okay but it leaves me with a horrible niggling feeling that I don't like.
If Nintendo doesn't release these games in North America I will lose all hope in them. They have hardly any good games coming out and two high quality RPG's that they for some reason refuse to distribute. Even in the Gamecube days they would publish stuff like Giest and Baten Kaitos 2...I mean what the fuck? Nintendo America has that casual gamer stick so far up their ass its disgusting.
Just move to Europe Edgy. It is were all the cool kids are!
I loved that game too. I thought I was gonna hate it but it ended up being one of the more memorable games on the system for me. So relaxing to play. I actually liked it more than Animal Crossing as far as those odd type games go.
