Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile^ WTF?
Iga didn't kill you guys?
That must have been cool. Is that the first in person meeting of VGpress folk. We need to do more of that... at E3. I can dream.
The Mortal Kombat demo is everything I had hoped for and more. For the first time since MK3 a MK game finally feels like Mortal Kombat. I could play the demo for hours, its fantastic.
*Looks at MK demo-less Xbox 360*
I found out this past week that I know a guy that works for IGN now. He just got his E3 pass this week. I now know someone specific that I can steal the pass from.
But seriously, before I die I must go to an E3 (and a TGS when they get that back up and running). I am sure there are still ways to get into E3 as a normal dude, I must do this at least once.
Ok I am going to go check out the 3DS. I'll be back.
Full impressions when you get back!
*If you have time!*
I'm back, I am satisfied. They had Pilotwings as the demo. The 3DS was on a leash but you can move it around so I found a good spot for the 3D. The first glance is weird, you may feel a tad bit crosseyed. I adjusted the slider, which felt great, to where I felt comfortable, it was somewhere in the middle. Once you find the spot it looks really cool. It must be noted that the 3D goes in not out, it creates the illusion of depth not stuff jumping off the screen at you. I never felt any eye fatigue or headaches, it felt natural to me. I was even able to put the slider in different spots and after a few seconds I got used to it.
The 3DS I guess feels like a DS Lite. The nub is fantastic, perfect natural feeling analog control. The L and R were a bit small. Dpad feels tiny and sticky. Buttons are fine. I love the size of the top screen, bottom screen is the same as DS. I believe the 3D screen is a bit darker than the bottom screen. Overall it felt comfortable to hold and I did not have a problem keeping it in the right 3D zone for my eyes. Even if I went off it I quickly found that spot again. For those freaking out about it messing with your eyes, its just like those magic eye things (without all the work to get the image to go 3D), you might lose it for a second but you can quickly snap back into focus.
Pilotwings is whatever, you fly to rings and stuff...yay. The most impressive part of my playtime was when I picked a night flight and the sun was setting. You see the sun light glare hit the center of the screen in a way that it does feel as its coming at you, it was beautiful. This isn't some gaming revolution, it is just another step into making the technology feel more fresh and futuristic.
PS: I started a similar topic on the Ring of Fire for your B-Day, Vader. You should pop over there for a second. There are b-day greetings waiting there for you too!

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileAwww... I loved my Max! It really took you this long to realize?!
I would bet money Hideki Konno had a hand in designing the Max too!
There was an idea waaaaaaay, waaaaaaay ahead of its time! It was an analog style controller before analog was even invented! It saved a hell of a lot of wear and tear on the thumbs, but playing most NES games with it was kinda impractical. I dreamt of the days of analog control loooooooong before they actually came. It was playing Mario 64 for the very first time that the dreams I had playing with the Max were realized!
Ah... NEStalgia!
OUTSTANDING!
Invented already

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileAhhh, the NES Max. Such, fond memories of getting Metal Gear by some weird company called, Ultra, plus the Max at my birthday party. My party was held at the local skating rink, btw.
