I am playing the Wii version.

Rented Halo Reach and SMG2 today. I might try out SMG2 before the week is over.

Which is why I never picked up the After Years.

But you know how Square-Enix is. It'll probably be less than $40 and they'll candy-coat it to make it look like a awesome deal!

For me though, $40 is too much for a game I played to death. The After Years isn't enough to make me want it.

It had a modern day price though, with the whole episodic stuff. It's not like they charged what they charge for a VC SNES game. Even if it was 1500 points for the whole thing, impressions would have probably been far more favorable. It's one thing to have the Telltale episodic games and another to port a released mobile phone game.

I have 300 Wii points, how can I manage it so I can add a point card and get a couple games or similar and have zero left after? In Europe so no Fluidity here yet, but maybe I can wait for it to do this. Last game I got was Cave Story and I just finished that, although I think it was on easy difficulty which is silly since it didn't let me choose in the beginning, it only enabled that option after the end, and I realised I played on easy when I saw playing on regular has a different color hat. I thought it was easier than I remembered it on PC when I played but wasn't sure, and wondered why the yellow hat. Finishing it on easy didn't unlock anything else either. Oh well.

Looks like PS3 is getting another HD bundle/re-release.

What SE did was take some of the best elements of different 16 bit RPGs and combined them all into one.  There's elements of Seiken Densetsu/Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and FFIV all in this game and it makes for a fun experience.

i agree the after years is a great game and a great deal even if its in epsiodes it was around 30 hours long and 35$ so it was close to a 1$ a hour and  theres a lot of games nowdays some are rpgs that people pay 30 to 60$ for that barely  reaches 20 hours long, its funny now days on how square is just about living off porting games and download games for most of their income
