Anyone here beat Perfect Dark Zero -- I just started it and want to know how long it is. I'm guessing 8 hours, but I seems to recall some criticism of it being short.
DKC Returns sells 500k in a week!
Good to hear! Well-deserved. Hope it break a million during the holidays.
Also, a sequel would be great. But honestly, I don't see how Retro can come up with more level ideas since DKC Returns has some of the best platforming levels I've seen. Well, Nintendo topped SMG with SMG2 so I'm sure a sequel will be just fine!

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
Read that IGN "Children of the 80's" thing.
I can't honestly decide whether or not the Nintendo 64 was one of the best consoles ever or one of the worst.

Back to the Future looks so awesome, all the music is in it. It really sucks not having Michael J Fox but the voice actor isnt terrible. Having Lloyd do Doc makes it work. I just wonder how it will translate to a point and click adventure. The music for the series is very adventure focused, it needs to play in an action scene, how do you get an action scene in a point and click game.
Dino D-day is AMAZING. Check out that trailer.
Woot, just defeated the swordplay champion! Fucking Matt!
Dino D-day looks like a clunky Source mod. Seems it started as one, even has a moddb page. Might be worth $5.

You hold down the C button for all of 1 second for it to lock on. Don't let Robio trick you, he is the Anti-Archie.
What is more vexing is that even after I told you guys like 10 times you still played 6 hrs without locking on.
Even without it you got on fine with the combat, which is why I call BS on reviews that couldn't handle it. You can avoid nearly every fight in the game or just stand on a slightly elevated platform and thin them to death then run in and deliver the final spin blow.
No, you misheard, people said it's shit.
I watched and enjoyed it. Got nostalgia pangs. Why is this game dodging every platform I own?
That looks like a contender for worst game ever made. Also, is the whole game based in that one courtyard?
I would rather play Gormiti.
Oly hit,
Europe - Two WiiWare demos removed, two new demos added, four original demos remain
The trial period is up, and it looks like the demo idea worked out well. While two demos have been removed, two others are still hanging around.
Removed
- ThruSpace
- Furry Legends
Added
- Max & the Magic Marker
- Chronos Twins DX
Remaining
- Zombie Panic
- Jett Rocket
- Robox
- BIT.TRIP FATE
This is like the 3rd straight week where they are actually adding demos. Let's hope this continues.
Okay the updates are so fracking slow today I won't be doing any more.
Please wait.....
Oooops, just found out that 1up need to be added to this list.
"The camera tends to work against you in battle as well. When you're fighting multiple enemies, since you can't lock-on to anything,"
Again I'm not saying that this is the games major issue or sticking point with reviews, I just find it a little weird so many review sites don't know you can lock on. But then Robio missed it too, so what can you say? It is a major fuck up that it isn't in the instruction manual, but then not many people even read instruction manuals these days (Cursed Mountain up gesture for example - which everyone fucked up on- despite the picture of the gesture being in the manual)
To add just a little bit more to the lock-on issue, I still haven't figured it out. I went into a fight and held onto the C button and say the arrows pop up, but after that I'm still not sure what to do. Regardless I'm still not convinced it's even necessary. I've yet to die in a battle. Maybe later in the game it'll become a problem... don't know.
You hold it down very briefly for a second and it locks on, then you release the button. The colour of the arrow above an enemies head should change. You then tap it to lock off.
Anyhow, you all seen the Sony TV with a PS2 built into it?
It's a 720p HDTV 22". If this was out a year ago I would have bought it. The PS2 is in the stand.
This reminds me of when people where so pissed at Odin Sphere because they thought you had to level up in order to progress.
I'm surprised that SONY hasn't started putting PS3's in their HDTV's.
Also Yoda, what happeend to the ads? You weren't making enough money?

I just got WiiMC (homebrew application for Wii) and it's a REALLY good media player that plays just about any file type I've thrown at it so far (ofcourse, not HD content) and on top of that can stream youtube videos much better than the browser. The interface for youtube is plain, you only get the latest videos, most popular, most viewed etc in various categories like gaming, or entertainment, or whatever, and you can also input search words but only get the most relevant results, there are no advanced options like most recent, today, etc. Then you get a list of just the names of the videos, no thumbnail previews. It sounds clunky but it works well and is fast. Most of the simplicity is for the best and much faster than loading the browser and webpage, waiting for the thumbnails to load and have it drag with like 3 fps as you try to select stuff (like why the hell did they add so many demanding flash elements to the youtube XL view when it's meant to be for underpowered devices like the Wii and mobiles, idiots). Once you actually start the video playback with WiiMC it's fullscreen and really really smooth, not all choppy like with the browser. Really good stuff, anyone with a homebrewed Wii should get it. It can also stream various other stuff like shoutcast radio and shoutcast tv, also very smooth. As long as the source is smooth of course, there are shitty youtube videos etc that are shit regardless of where they're viewed. So yeah youtube playback impressed me enough to post. You can get it from its website or via the homebrew browser.
Screens must have been from crappy capture cards, when played on my SDTV there are no borders (outside top and bottom if it's too widescreen video) and the interface is sharp, as are most videos if the source is good. I think you can somehow make it run DVDs also, but you need to install some more cIOS or something and I don't really like hacking my Wii with anything more than the bare minimum stuff required to get the homebrew channel (and thus most of the homebrew applications like games, emulators, etc) and a USB loader.
