I generally don't play these games online. From what I've heard it takes at least a year before hackers take over. I hear that Conduit 2 and Black Ops Wii have back end online patching. Not sure about GEye.
You spelled correct wrong, cupcake.
From the Joystiq Goldeneye review
"As in the N64 classic, you're encouraged to use the silencer on your PP9 to pick off security cameras and isolated guards (though newly-added stealth takedowns work on the latter just as well). Of course, I tend to sprint in the middle of the room with a shotgun, shoot a round in the air, and get ready for the army to rain down on me. To each his own."
Why do I picture SteelAttack writing this?
People are stupid, they don't know what they want. IR for all games.
Goldeneye live stream. Night club atm. Looks cool.

Gamesradar Goldeneye review is a 7/10 but they seem to like it.
So, we certainly have a good GoldenEye, with a pretty fun single-player campaign and multiplayer that’s even more fun. Does it live up to the original? Heck no – we said it was impossible, remember? It is a damn fine, “serious” shooter on the Wii, and that’s saying something. Even without the limited options for mature action for Wii owners, GoldenEye 007 is a solid game in its own right. If nostalgia is still tingling strong or you’re hankering for a real, guns-blazing and sneaky-assassinating experience, you won’t go wrong here.
They say that they had control problems, I'll be curious to see what they mean, because I know how the snap to move works on COD reflex. It's not a problem. And the ADS, missing shots isn't something I've seen in other reviews.
GT5 has gone gold! Discs being made right now!
LIES!
Their control issues sound weird, as if they're looking down the remote to see that the aiming is relative rather than lightgun style... You aren't supposed to hold your arm up and physically aim, you just hold the controller wherever it's comfortable, usually on your legs like any controller, for the added stability, then see where the cursor is, and make the appropriate relative motions to where you want it to go. Only lightgun games let you make that kind of calibration because only lightgun games care if the aiming is proper or not. Unless they actually mean that the bullets didn't go where the crosshair/scope was which would be a flaw I think others would have noticed...

There was something about aiming in the Joystiq review. I think, from my experience it's hard to get headshots with aim down sights with a pistol on these shooters. With the larger guns you have scopes and aiming sights, iron sights. When you go into ADS with a pistol you have this zoom in the back of the pistol and no sights, you sort of have to line up this massive rectangle to roughly where you want to shoot and it often covers half the screen. I think people will remember how satisfying and accurate it was to use the pistol in the N64 game and then go into ADS COD style in this game and wonder why they aren't as accurate.
Its happening!
No.
Sounds like something I would do.
No.
New podcast is up. Nice classic format, Foolz, Homer, Yoda and Dvader. Awesome. Plus bonus content (that I have not listened to or edited) from the last show at the end of this podcast.
that review confuses me
it seems so postive but its only a 7 with a few control problems, why not give it a 8 taking away 3 points just for some control problems is insane
You are all part of the problem.
Have any of you even tried a FPS with the wiimote?
This is happening today:
The Supreme Court will be hearing arguments from both sides in the case of Schwarzenegger, Gov. of California v. Entertainment Merchants, which will inform their final decision on whether or not the government has the right to restrict the sale of violent video games to minors.
That is not the name of a movie, that is our government, Arnold vs. Video Games, today on Pay-Per-View!
Here is what is being decided:
1. Does the First Amendment bar a state from restricting the sale of violent video games to minors?
2. If the First Amendment applies to violent video games that are sold to minors, and the standard of review is strict scrutiny, under Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. v. F.C.C., 512 U.S. 622, 666 (1994), is the state required to demonstrate a direct causal link between violent video games and physical and psychological harm to minors before the state can prohibit the sale of the games to minors?
The decision could take months.
I haven't. But I'm not interested anyway. For me, it's not even a matter of technical superiority, but one of personal preference instead. I'm comfortable with dual analogue, and I have no need to change that.
