But there are no reviews or impressions for this! I'm really curious to know how it is.
Leo, you got it right? I know you did! Tell us how it is!
(No seriously, did you pick it up?)

I found the chases to be the only time I've ever felt like I was fleeing from being raped in my life, in videogame form or otherwise. It was kind of a pain trying to figure out where you're going at times, but not too bad.
Wow Vanquish looks pretty cool! I guess shouldn't expect any less from Mikami.
I'm worried about Vanquish's gameplay though. It could be masterful like Resident Evil 4 or mediocre and repetitive like PNO3. Or it can come out like Lost Planet 2, lot's of great ideas and potential but implemented poorly.
I'm losing some faith in Japanese developers making action shooting games after Lost Planet 2. Resident Evil 4 and 5 were a given because it's a different style of shooting. But I'm talking about games like Lost Planet 2 or Vanquish trying to be like western shooters like Halo, Crysis, Gears of War, etc.
I encourage and admire the effort and I hope the games come out well though.

Vanquish is looking very cool indeed. Me want.
They turned Darth's life into a videogame?
The only thing I don't like about Vanquish is the same thing I don't like about a lot of games. A superficial similarity so pronounced that games almost blend into each other these days.
Polished but predictable? Excellent but we've seen it all before? Let's hope it can escape these trappings.
Suddenly Avatars are appealing:
LucasArts will flood the Xbox Live Avatar Marketplace with Star Wars costumes and props tomorrow.
Why? Because it's the 30th anniversary Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back [as you rightly pointed out -Ed].
Costumes include a caped Lando, Chewbacca, Boba Fett and C-3PO. Props include a baseball cap with Yoda ears and yes, a Lightsaber.
They'll cost, but we're not sure how much. Keep an eye on the Xbox.com Avatar Marketplace for the influx.
Costumes:
Props:
From all the reviews and universal praise I think it is clear that it is a GOTY contender.

Yeah Call of Duty does look interesting. At least its not the same premise again.

Baten Kaitos series director Yasuyuki Honne was featured today in a staff interview at the Monolith corporate site. CEO Hirohide Sugiura quizzed Honne on the topic of advancements in games and CG. The interview began by Sugiura asking Honne to introduce his work. The conversation went a little something like this:
Honne: I was art director on Xenosaga Episode 1, which was also my first project at Monolith Soft. I was director and art director on Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos II. For the soon-to-be released Xenoblade, I made concept art. Outside of these, when we get graphics work from other companies, I do direction inside the company. By the way, I'm currently...
Sugiura: Ah, that's still...
Honne: I'm doing secret work (laughs).

Nope. Haven't really been interested in buying anything since Monster Hunter and SSFIV.
