Getting it. Â I put together a list of games I want from the last 3 months or so today and was on the fence about GoW3, but fuck it, I'm paying retail.
That's a question you should be asking his tender ass.
This is awesome!

If Nintendo doesn't release Xenoblade and Last Story worldwide, they are retarded. Those are the most major RPG's the Wii will ever see and probably the most major RPG's on any console coming up, I mean WTF? The fuck did they buy Monolith for if they're not going to release their games worldwide?
What they don't have enough money to publish them in the USA? Give me a fucking break.
On a separate note, I'm loving the new Metroid so far. The Prime games are incredible but I could feel a touch of stale-ness kicking into future games, and I think the new direction for the series is unique and badass. It seems like they took inspiration from Shadow Complex and are making a game that has old-school roots with ultra-modern sensibilities. If its as lengthy as a Retro Studios made Metroid, its going to be epic.
Speaking of Retro Studios, WTF?!?! Where are they?!?!
Mario Galaxy 2 also looks great, but nothing surprising there.
Finished Miles Edgeworth last night. The final chapter completely saved that game. Well that's too strong of a statement. It saved it from being an average Ace Attorney game. That last chapter was as good as anything in the Phoenix Wright games, and probably a little bit better. It got dragged out a little longer than it needed to, but that's pretty much a trademark of the series, so no need to complain about that.
It was a blast though and I'm already going through a little Ace Attorney depression. I'm looking through my other games and just going, "I don't want to play these..." I have a weekend of costume design ahead of me so hopefully when that's over something on the PSP will look good.
I don't think there's a question of IF they're going to bring it stateside. When was the last time Nintendo developed a game and didn't publish it worldwide? I think the only reason they're not announcing it is because they don't have a release date because the translation/localization is much heavier than they typically have with Mario and Zelda game. That's pretty much the reason why there's a year lag in between a Final Fantasy Japanese and Worldwide launch right? I think as soon as they figure that part out, we will have our launch date.
They didn't release Disaster or Fatal Frame 4 in the USA did they? Or have I gone insane and missed them?
Ahhhhh true, forgot about those. Well in that case, who knows.
This is pretty much the only reason E3 this year exists for me. WTH are they doing?
Imagine Fashion Designer? Or Nintendo presents Style Boutique?
I think the last case of Apollo Justice saved the game because it gave meaning to the earlier cases. I would prefer if each case stood on its own two feet though.
Did Another COde R launch in the US?
Guess I'll do the updates.
Yay Pachter
IG: What will it take for more third parties to succeed on the Wii? Will it improve in 2010? Can Nintendo do anything to help or is this more due to publishers simply putting out crap games?
Pachter: I continue to believe that the Wii audience will buy good games, and think that third parties have done a poor job of making them for the Wii. There are a handful of exceptions (my favorite is Zack and Wiki), but most third party Wii games just plain suck. The third parties don't appear to be giving the Wii owner what he/she wants, which is an approachable, high quality game. The bulk of titles are shovelware, and once a Wii owner has a bad experience with a poorly crafted title from a third party, they are even more likely to return to buying only Nintendo products. This is most definitely NOT Nintendo's fault; they can hardly be blamed for making consistently good games. It's the fault of studios that think it's ok to make a lousy game and put the word "party" in the title.
Dead or Alive: Paradise director Yoshinori Ueda has told Eurogamer that his PSP game is not supposed to be softcore pornography nor degrading towards women, despite titillating promotional videos and a marketing slogan that reads, "Paradise in the palm of your hand."
"That's certainly not something we're intentionally going for," he said. "From our perspective, we're trying to make beautiful women, that has been the focus - we want our characters to be beautiful. The DOA characters are strong and that they look the way they do is based on trying to bring out the beauty of women."
"We're certainly not trying to degrade women. They have beautiful bodies. We're trying to show off the beauty of their bodies but we're not trying to be degrading about it - we're trying to show that they are beautiful characters."
"It's not that we were trying to make softcore porn. That's definitely not the goal."
In Dead or Alive: Paradise, bikini-clad girls take part in various paradise beach games like volleyball and going to the casino. Players can also have the girls pose for the camera and take photographs of them.
That element of the game irked America's ESRB age-ratings board, which claimed DOA: Paradise was filled with "creepy voyeurism" and "bizarre, misguided notions of what women really want". The ESRB later apologised and offered a more level-headed explanation for the mature rating.
"We know that everyone is going to have a different experience with the game - everyone has their own opinion," shrugged Ueda. "For us, the goal was really to offer a little bit of paradise to the users, and we hope that people playing the game will be able to come away with the feeling that they've visited paradise."
Ueda understands that DOA: Paradise isn't a game in "the traditional sense". "What we offer is a selection of things to play and activities to have fun with. The players have the freedom to play Paradise however they want," he said.
America's ESRB organisation has apologised for classifying Dead or Alive: Paradise as a PSP game filled with "creepy voyeurism" and "bizarre, misguided notions of what women really want"; "Paradise cannot mean straddling felled tree trunks in dental-floss thongs," the Mature rating summary read.
The post has now been neutered. It was posted "in error" and the ESRB has said that the listing "improperly" contained "subjective language".
"Our intention with rating summaries is to provide useful, detailed descriptions of game content that are as objective and informative as possible. However they are ultimately written by people and, in this case, we mistakenly posted a rating summary that included what some could rightfully take to be subjective statements," ESRB spokesperson Eliot Mizrachi said in a statement.
"We sincerely regret the error and will work to prevent this from happening again in the future."
The ESRB, unlike the BBFC, provides voluntary ratings for games - no one need take any notice of them.
Dead or Alive: Paradise follows female characters from the fighting series on holiday on a hot, tropical island. They play various mini-games and wear tiny bikinis. Boobs bounce and camera angles are risque. The official marketing slogan is, "Paradise in the palm of your hand."

Yeah that God of War 3 footage they showed on GT-TV was freakin' amazing. Those boss battles are simply ginormous. I NEED this game.
Well at least we heard something a little more from Itagaki. I sure hope we see what game he is working on real soon.
Was a publisher mentioned? Wondered if he would go back to Tecmo for publishing.
