Not when you do it right the first time -- reusable code FTW!
But that's not all, folks! New feature time: You can now have any previously read comments hidden by default, so when you load a page you only see new posts (view old posts by clicking "Show"). You can activate this on your user page.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileYou are like an internet Santa Claus.
Nice!
I was voting down large image posts to save bandwidth
I'm down to 5 gigs between now and the 19th of next month, so this kind of thing helps. Seems to be working well.
Is everyone just reading the title or not reading it at all? I'd tell you what I do, but I'm currently apparently the one who reads the most news from here

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileDo click-thorughs from the scroll on the front page count? Do non-logged in users count for clicks as well? I know I'm logged out most of the time.
GG's not going to be happy about that statistic. I click on at least one news story per day . . . I think.
The ticker isn't counted, and something I thought of.
I wasn't clear in my post, as I was going by number of clicks for users, so if you weren't logged in, it will count toward the popularity of the news itself, but not towards your account, obviously.
News itself regarldess of logged in was a surprise, though, it's 4 times higher! At least that's some solace.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileOver the past two days, I've spent about 12 hours split between the two versions, and I've ended up very disappointed the PS3 game. All the complaints you may have heard -- that it looks faded and blurry, and struggles through its framerate -- are true, and more significant than I've seen in any PS3/360 game in recent memory. The 360 version runs into occasional light framerate issues, but nothing that really affects the game. The PS3 version feels sluggish for the majority of the game -- at least, when put side-by-side with the 360 one."
If it's worse than Ghostbusters than that is saying something.
GG puts a ot of the best content into the thread stream though (negating the need to click through).
Okay, well that explains some of it.

"Avatar awards and more await the Halo faithful."
Archie? Is that you?
Anyway I can't wait for Halo Waypoint to hit in a mere 6 days now. All the stats and Halo goodness you can shake a stick at and then some for my viewing pleasure.
A good security/privacy practice, but you can set exceptions for trusted sites. That's what I do, anyway, though Google's a pain because they don't like to stick to one domain with their logins.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileFor me it's enough for me to leave the series for good. I thought they were pushing the limits in COD4, but this latest one is just tasteless beyond acceptability.
With all the games trying to do the good path / bad path, make your choices gameplay, it seems a bit silly for there to be a backlash for a game having you play as the bad guy. Now all I've seen of it is the video of shooting a crowded area -- if it's modeled after the actual Mumbai attacks, then that's just tasteless.
