I've been meaning to get the orange box for ages but there seems like so much redundancy to me. I dont need to play HL2 again, Team fortress is pretty useless to an offline single player gamer. So all I would play is Portal which seems great but looks awfully confusing to someone who hasn't played it. And the two episodes.
Well I liked HL2 and Bioshock, I know I joke about it being boring, but I find most FPS to get repetitive, especially without IR these days. I just wasn't so enamoured with HL2 that I immediately want to see what happens next. I felt sort of cheapened out by the end with that ending, like Halo 2's ending.
I think I would rather get Condemned 2 for £10. I really, really need COD4 but it still isn't cheap over here.

I'm currently playing The new Chronicles of Riddick game. Game mechanics are geat even after about five years. I have yet to play the new game. I wanted to play Escape from Butcher Bay first because I hadn't finished it.
I hear the new game is more a straight up shooter. It's got pretty solid reviews so far. I wouldn't mind a new riddick movie.
New Monster hunter pics in the thread soon BTW.
I'm going to get that game soon; it'll probably be my next game.
No, it better be "Wah wah wah" noises.
Nice speak you gave their GG. Not much to add you kind of covered it all.
As for FPS, I get tired of them as well, the majority of them bore me after a few hours, I cant play them for an extended period of time. Sometimes I feel none of them try anything outside shooting things, just shooting things with no other gameplay elements doesn't make for an interesting game. But every once and a while a FPS comes along that has elements from action/adventure games, they have puzzles, boss fights, exploration aspects, they have evolving powers etc. Its those FPSs that I love, HL2 being the all time best I have played, to me that game just so happend to be in the first person view point, it has so much variety, it does everything.
Bioshock is like that, Rapture is not like most FPS worlds that are usually straight lines. It almost has a tiny bit of Metroid where you gain new powers that you use to open up new areas or find previously hidden ones. Combat isnt just shooting, you can do a variety of attacks so that is very welcome. The combat scenarios are no where near as varied as HL2, so its not in that league but like HL2 its more than just a FPS.
Vladimir Putin better be the last boss, Judo throws and KGB assassination techniques. Okay maybe not, how about the Klitschko brothers? Yeah that would work. Wladimir Klitschko's Punch-Out!!
Iga, we need to include dictators.
Dancing Stalin, like in the game Stalin vs Aliens
Stalin actually means Steel!
I am on to you Steel!
