^^^How does ZX play?

Like the Zero/X games.

I heard it plays like Castlevania SOTN only with Megaman characters and shooting.

Anyway I snuck into Edge's room the other day and Jesus is it messy.

What? Don't get my hopes up Foolz.

So Rock Band finally got confirmed for release in Australia. In other news, EA/MTV/Harmonix can collectively go fuck off for not giving us the sequel or better instruments. Though EA do get props for making it cheaper than World Tour.

Maybe, but I would be better if the guy would be banned without the mods posting in the forum. Just ban him terminator style, no fighting and bitching, because that would give attention to the banned person.

Megaman 9 is only a possibility if I have the dire urge to find the two GC Megaman compilations. But after watching some Megaman and having played MMX back in the day, I'm not so sure it's my kind of a game. Again, if I had more than enough dough to cover the definite buys, I'd check it out.

You never tried renting? Or buying second hand on ebay? Or buying then selling your games on ebay? Endless Ocean is a budget game you know, you can probably get it for $20 now.

From the Mushroom Men preview:

What makes Mushroom Men seem so refreshing is its sense of freedom, not just in the obvious free-roaming way that you'd expect from most 3D platform games, but in the way that you can use multiple different methods to progress through each level. Near the start of the game you find yourself in a large shed-like room and have to make your way to an adjoining building. You can either find the secret mouse hole and use that as a tunnel, or make your way upwards to the roof (using any technique you want, be it grappling up to a chair or climbing up shelves then grappling your way to the rafters) where you'll find that one of the pipes up there has a hole in it, which you can enter and visit the next room that way.

So the game is basically a sandbox/platformer! Awesome. The Wii is the platformer console of choice: De Blob, Wario Land, Mushroom Men, Virtual console and Galaxy.

I heard that they designed the levels so that you could do them in any order you wanted. But at the same time, freedom can be a bad thing in that a game can lose focus. Might help with replayability though. I don't know about Wii being the platformers console. It's not like the N64 or SNES here, there are a few decent games and some which are good-ish and then a ton of mediocre licenced shit.

I'm hoping that KORE and Spyborgs work out. In fact I may go back and watch KORE videos now.

It is when you count VC. You can get the SNES and N64 platformer Nyaa. Besides what are the alternatives? PS3, 360? No way.

Most of the N64 platformers were Rare and they aren't on VC yet.

KORE looks more banjo like than the new banjo:

Still looks better than spyborgs.

I disagree about KORE. Most of the levels look like pure platforming levels and not sandbox Banjo style levels. It reminds me more of Sunshine void levels and some levels in Galaxy! Mushroom Men has more of the exploration feel. Reminds me a bit of Banjo and Chibi Robo!

I meant more like banjo in that Nuts and Bolts is about riding vehicles and building them.

A shame realy. I do not understand Rare's reasoning of reinventing the genre because it is getting stale. I mean there is not a single platformer on the 360, how can the genre be stale?

I don't rent. Second-hand purchases I've done before and have no problem with ultimately (though I prefer my games new), but I'm not going to buy with the thought in mind of selling it after I finish it. I like to keep the games I play, which is why I try to be picky with what I buy. Nyaa

$20 is too large of a chunk right now when I want stuff that costs 2.5 times that, unless I start buying everything at reduced prices instead of jumping on big games at release.

I saw on a tiny game store yesterday a GC game with OoT and another OoT. Is it worth it?

Oh, and Path of radiance as well, for gamecube. Should I get them? Yes?
