First episode of Shippuuden? Did you watch the plain Naruto first?
Straight to Shippuuden, my friend said that I wouldn't enjoy the first series.
Shippuuden is not a seperate series, it is a direct continuation of Naruto. The word Shippuuden is only used to tell the viewer that the fillers are over and the timeskip of 2.5 years is done with. The manga is still called Naruto. Watching Shippuuden and not Naruto is not very smart and Shippuuden is a lot slower than Naruto. For intance is single chapter is made in an 1 hour special, so freaking slow.
My advice:
do not listen to your friend.
Start watching the original series.
It starts a bit comedic, but hang one it will become awesome soon.
first 135 episodes are cool, afterwards come the dreaded fillers. Now you can skip to Shippuuden, but some fillers are kinda cool to watch.
Watch shippuuden untill you frustated by the slowness
Start reading the manga
Really you would not understand Shippuuden unless you watch Naruto first!
In other news there is a kickass english version of jeux-france launched
That's very good. Jeux-france has a lot of firsts in reporting news.
Anyway Phantom_Leo, I strongly think that "The World Ends With You" is very under-apperciated. It will probably follow in the same vein of "Valkyire Profile". To me that is bad but also good cause it'll be worth $$$$ in the future.
Phantom, over the weekend I played NIGHTS for about 30 minutes, it was fairly bad.
Then I played Okami. I'm 11 hrs in and going to the moon cave after defeating crimson helm. Tell me I'm not nearing the end of the game here? I heard it was a 40 hour game? WTF? :?

Sorry you didn't like NiGHTS, GG. It definately isn't for everyone.
Do you play with the nunchuk or just wii remote? I find that with IR it feels much better and more relaxing like a ds game almost with the stylus. It just seems so shoddy and almost like a relic from the past.
So you are in colorado raven? Rag is there too isn't he? You two should move in together. Same for Miami Phantom and Dvader. Oh yeah. Pair up buddies!
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick says that the high cost of living in the UK has led the company to rule out expansion.
"It is ridiculously expensive to live in the UK, especially in London,” Mr Kotick said in an interview with The Times.
"What dictates our expansion plans would be whether we can compensate our employees fairly and whether they can achieve the quality of life that they want."
Activision currently employs 1,000 workers in Slough, Birmingham and Liverpool, but is reportedly is ruling out expansion in Britain because of the cost of living and the lack of media company tax breaks offered by countries such as Canada.
"We think about development planning and where we can get tax incentives that would help us do that," Kotick said.
"Our employee base tends to be young, say, in their thirties. And I think that they would like to be in a city rather than in Slough."

Z-OUCH! Nintendo UK are based in Slough It's one of these business district towns, a bit grim, in Buckinghamshire way outside of London.

I play it with the Gamecube controller; it's far better, IMO. I messed around with the IR mode a few times. It's okay, but lacks the precision of the analogue stick.

I agree with everything Iga said, but would like to warn you that about half of the non-Shippuden series are made up of fillers, and Shippuden itself almost seems like it is mostly fillers. Once you get towards the end of the original Naruto you may want to just skip the last quarter and start Shippuden, you will be able to logically figure out which episodes are vital to the story and which are not as its fairly obvious. Or really you could just be done with the series, Shippuden has been nothing but a dissappointment for me.
Overall I just like Tenje Tenjou a whole lot better, it accomplishes everything Naruto does (besides maybe establish as deep of character relationships) and better all in a short 25 episode span.
Then I played Okami. I'm 11 hrs in and going to the moon cave after defeating crimson helm. Tell me I'm not nearing the end of the game here? I heard it was a 40 hour game? WTF? :?
When I played through it, I thought it would be really short--it focuses so much on Orochi, the village, and all the areas in between that you're almost made to think that that's the whole game. Don't worry, though... it's only the first part. I don't have the game with me right now, but if memory serves, you're probably done with 1/4 to 1/3 of the game. There's plenty more. Give impressions when you complete it. And what do you have it on, Wii or PS2? I opted to get the PS2 version (but only because I found a used one cheap), and I'm glad. Otherwise I'd have gotten the one with the IGN watermark on the boxart. Plus, the Wii version doesn't (or didn't, anyway) have credits, and the new tweaks to the graphics make it look less like parchment. And I also get the impression that the DualShock2 does more justice to the game than the Wiimote.
Remarkably, I actually did play something this weekend. Some Brawl (which we've heard enough about) and some Tetris DS. I maxed out the line count in endless play (999 lines).
Heard enough about Brawl? Aw. Haha, it's alright. The game is really growing on me and I'm actually liking its slower pace more than before. I've been recording matches and snapshots like crazy, too! Got over 100 replays recorded. lol
Ok, now we've heard enough about it.
In other news, I've been playing Morrowind on my PC. Awesome game, but I'm having some recent technical issues that I don't know how to remedy. I'll try dusting out my PC--especially the video card. Hopefully that'll work. Anyway, I just looked at the descriptions for mods for Morrowind and Oblivion. ZOMG, I can't believe I've been oblivious to what players have been doing with these games! As soon as I get my Morrowind issues ironed out, I wanna install an assload of mods! XD
But speaking of technical issues, do any of you have a monitor that can be oriented vertically (90-degree rotation)--preferably a Viewsonic? The blue rectangle that says "DVI" when I turn my monitor on has now undergone a 90-degree rotation on the screen, even though everything else is horizontally oriented. Downloading Service Pack 3 for XP remedied it for a little bit, but then it resurfaced.
More love and respect goes to Retro IGN for FINALLY putting some pictures of this cIassic up on the net!
We were all discussing the First game nearly two years ago in this topic (mostly Vader and GG, if I remember correctly)...
Well, here are some better quality pics that are sure to not be taken down due to bandwith...
Proud to present...
PICS OF THE DAY ! !
Words can't describe how jaw-droppingly beautiful this game was considered when it first came out on the SNES!
Actraiser 2?! This is out? Please tell me this is coming out.
Not out yet. It was just a featured game over at IGN Retro and that prompted me to add it to the Sleeper Topic at the GGD 'cause I've NEVER been able to get good pics of it online!
I mean, they DID release ActRaiser 1... Part 2 can't be too far off... Can it?

Hires you are step 5: frustrated by the slowness! Now go to step 6 and read the manga, it's so much better and faster, plus the manga is way ahead. And you can read it for free on the internet.

Ah, the site is workin' again.
Well, fuckers, I've been playin' a few things really.
I'm really looking forward to Civ Revolution next week. I'm also looking forward to kicking Leo in the balls.
^^^Persona 3 or Persona 3 FES?
One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!
Got a few cheap games, despite the prohibitively long time it will take to get through all the other games in line:
It was 2 for 1 with all being 9.99, so 3 for 20 was pretty good.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWhoa whoa whoa. What happened to the site all day?
I got these weird messages or it just didn't load.

I find this story particularly amusing .............
