Sakons hideout is a pain in the ass. If you miss one second as Kafei the mask goes. And you cant even get back to the title screen in this game, you have to close the software and reboot for the save. indecision

You can actually speed the conveyor belt up for several seconds with the red switches and still be fine. Oh, and you're supposed to redo the quest the true Majora's Mask way: go back to the Dawn of the First Day and redo everything. Nyaa

Someone tell me the motherfucking music to play to Evan and Japas. angry

It's in Mikau's diary, on the ledge above the drummer. You play it with Japas (the guitarist, right?), and then you play the whole thing (not just what's in the diary) to Evan. Thing is, like someone says, Evan wouldn't want to have to credit that music to another member of the band, so you have to play it to him as normal Link (or maybe even a Deku or Goron -- I haven't tried those before).

Hm, four days late in answering.... Better late than never? Wait, wait -- I answered a few minutes after the Dawn of the Fourth Day. Everyone is dead. Sorry. sad

Boy, have I forgotten just how incredible this game is.  I'm always debating which Zelda is the best: Ocarina or Majora.  Im leaning towards Majora just based on the Ikana Temple.  Freaking Eyegore!  Crazy puzzles, upside down world!

I got stuck for an hour and a half in Ikana dungeon because I couldn't see a 3 mm large chest on a fucking ceiling. indecision

That could have easily been me.  I was stuck in one room and something told me to look around.  I saw the chest and ignored it for a minute until I remembered you could grapple to them.

Yeah the final temple is a masterpiece. I still haven't done it, RE is taking most of my time.

The more I reflect on it, the more I think it may be the Zelda series' finest.  What other dungeon not only makes you rely on the item that you find within the dungeon, but several other items such as all three main masks consistently throughout?  And that Twinmold boss!  Holy crap!  What a nice change and call back to Super Mario 64.

Well, I guess I should just go and finish the game.

It's finished!  Majora's Mask!  Best Zelda storyline.  Best Zelda music.  Best Zelda side quests.  Best Zelda dungeon.  Best Zelda ever!  I've played through it several times but it's been over a decade.  I had forgotten so much so its was great to experience it all again.

What made it worse is that I had already opened that chest so didn't think it had any more use, even though I had been using other chests to grapple onto.

No, I don't like this dungeon at all, in fact the Great Bay temple sucked a bit too. Too annoying. The boss was epic though.

I had underestimated MM, it used to be my favorite game, then I replayed OOT on 3DS and started MM on GC again and it felt a bit slight in comparison, I quit at my usual point, Great Sack of Crap temple. Then replayin the game again on 3DS has rekindled my love of the game, it's so much deeper then you think, there are so many things to do, so many layers. The new bombers notebook has also allowed me to discover totally new things I didn't even see during the N64 playthrough.

I think all new Zeldas need this log booking form, rumoured events etc.

After replay

See, my first three Zeldas -- LA (DX), OoT, and MM -- I used guides for, and by now I know the latter two like the back of my hand (except for all the secret rupees in MM). While it sucks that they've never really been able to surprise me for this reason, I also never have a problem with the sections that everyone considers difficult -- notably, the Water Temple, Great Bay Temple, and Stone Tower Temple. Actually, I tend to miss exactly one key in the Water Temple, but that's because the methodical way I go through that temple makes skipping that particular key easy.

Final impressions of the MM3D bosses: Odolwa is overall better, though he only started different attack patterns when he was one hit from death and he wasn't as much of a threat. Goht is better. Gyorg is more interesting, but it takes too long to kill. The same is true for Twinmold, except that Link attacks too slowly for my liking while using the Giant's Mask, and the second worm has far too much HP.

The Goron/Snowhead/Goht moon dungeon gave me problems just because the Circle Pad doesn't have those helpful "notches" in the part of the controller surrounding it like the N64 pad does, thereby making lining up and keeping lined up the Goron roll unnecessarily difficult.

The Zora/Great Bay/Gyorg moon dungeon is better, since you're now guaranteed the opportunity to get the Piece of Heart.

Even though I used the Fierce Deity's Mask in the final battle and made it super short, the arena and boss look even better than before! Majora's Wrath looks awesome!

Oh, geek, the Great Bay Temple is easier than the Water Temple, so stop complaining. Nyaa

Easier yes, more annoying, yes.

Tired of getting funnelled into sections I dont want to be in by the current.

Anyhow, I need to do this frog thing. I found the swamp one, water temple one, snowhead one, town one.

Where are the others?

You're only missing the one from Woodfall Temple.

I thought the swamp frog counted as the only one for the area. There's a frog inside woodfall? Is it the one in the room with that spinning turtle?

Is the frog quest the hardest quest in the game? You have to re-fight at least two bosses, actually replay a dungeon too.

Clocktown: Laundry Pool

Swamp: On a log between the potion shop dock and the Deku Palace

Woodfall Temple: Frog+Turtle miniboss

Snowhead: In the pond by the smithy (the gathering place for all five of them)

Great Bay Temple: Frog+Turtle miniboss

I don't think it's the hardest, but it might be the most involved, since it does require going back to three dungeons. Not sure what the hardest would be, though.
