I'd love to see spoof trailers of this with other games on youtube.
Do Metal Gear and compare it to the sizes of various objects. Is it the size of a yacht?
Bam, here's the comparison pic.
Not only does motionplus react as fast as your swings - I mean in the video it shows one of the demi-gods slicing this fat bastard up - there is IR aiming in there. There is a laser staff one of the characters uses to melt someone's arm. There's a machine gun like staff and then a Robocop style lock on where you point to multiple enemies via IR then unleash a barrage of godly arrows at them. And then there is some sniper/cannon weapon.
And the woman was hacking into some huge flying fortress above her head.
The trailer also shows off the 4 player online co-op.

Wow looks awesome.
It is clearly based on Norse mythology
The old geezer with one eye most be Odin and the two playable characters are probably Valkyrie's. According to the trailers the girl Valkyrie is the little sister of the male Valkyrie. Definitely looks like a Norse version of EDF.

I'd love to see some subtitles on these trailers as there seems to be a lot of cutscenes there. The new projectile weapons look great, especially that arrow the male charcter fired from a mile away and it had the impact of a cannon.

Did I see one arrow that killed 2 enemies in succession? I heard great things about EDF, so I am looking forward to this. Looks like it will be a blast.
Oh and the on rails thing was already buried with the last trailer, but with this trailer the corps was dug up and burned for good measure. The turning seams much smoother now, plus there seems to be a Zelda like lock-on when using melee weapons.
I just read the Eurogamer EDF review, 9/10.
Weird to read though.

The hammers are the size of buildings
So there is is this motionplus 3rd person fighting game where you play as a demi-god fighting off mythical demons on huge battlefields. It's filled with blood and hacking off limbs, slicing people in half and IR arrow shooting. It looks pretty epic. It releases in slightly less than a month in Japan, I hope its good and I hope it gets localised.
The game also has 4 player online co-op including online lobbies:

Coming from the developer behind Earth Defense Force, Zangeki Reginleiv already had our attention. Well now we've targeted it as a definite play, thanks to today's revelation that it will be Wii Motion Plus compliant!
A retail listing reveals Motion Plus support for the game, allowing you to directly slash away at your foes. But don't worry traditionalists! The game will also include Classic Controller support, which means buttons for those who prefer it.
Originally announced last year as Dynamic Slash, Zangeki Reginleiv (don't worry, we don't know how to pronounce it either) is a tie-up project between Nintendo and EDF developer Sandlot. The game promises large scale battles against enemy forces, and so much violence that it's been given Nintendo Japan's first D rating (that means 17-and-up).
Other known features include two selectable characters with unique attacks and weapons, a selection of over 300 weapons, and online cooperative play for up to four. Nintendo will be footing the bill for the online play.
So far, everything we know about Zangeki Reginleiv is through retail leaks, as Nintendo hasn't given the game a formal announcement. A Japanese release is set for February 11, well after the year end sales rush.
