I tell you, Konami had some sweet box art for their games back then.

I know nothing about Bayou Billy outside of what the cover looks like.

Can we make a spinoff thread of games you would buy based on their box art alone?

Did Demon's Crest ever make the VC?

Act raiser was amazing for its time.  It's a shame I never got around to the sequel.

And I'd love to know why Square or Nintendo or whoever owns the rights to it hasn't dusted off the Rad Racer IP.

Outrun clone or not, this game had name recognition, and a bad ass soundtrack. I'd check out another one.

Didn't Encino Man feature this game a lot.

That cover! That had to be a million seller! Shirtless russian guy shooting fireballs at dinosaurs! (omg it is a Putin simulation!)

It seemed like Karnov showed up on any and every video game system in the 80's. With this cover art, and the multi-plat release I have no doubt it was probably the best selling game of all time.

I like to pretend Bayou Billy was a fun game.

My friend loved Karnov.  Most of these games could be made by some indie developer and probably turn out awesome.  You wouldn't really need a huge budget.

Act Raiser is still godlike. I don't know how we didn't see this and Illusion of Gaia/Time on the virtual console. I can only imagine the management of Square-Enix just wants to disavow knowledge of anything that Enix ever worked on prior to the merger other than Dragon Quest.

It was certainly tough.  I'm pretty sure I never finished it.

Oh man Road Rash and Fantasy Zone. Stellar titles.

Wasn't a Road Rash remake talked about a few years ago? I swear I read an interview with Sebastian Bach where he talked about how he was doing a song for the soundtrack. Then again it's Sebastian Bach, so the guy could have been told he had a rash and very easily got confused. Dude is not a smart man.
