Tokyo Game Show is the latest I would wait to reveal it. People need time to get hyped for it.
Well they better do it really soon if they're still planning on releasing the system early next year. They also need to be as detailed and informative as possible as well as give us a lot of information from the get go, no drip-feeding of it. Show off games, both first and third party.
They should show off a bunch of clips from the new Zelda on it and then just show a bunch of hardware shots of Project Scorpio.

They wouldn't be at TGS they will probably have a Direct around that time.

There are still so many devs in the dark about this thing, how is anyone supposed to have games ready for March?
They are not. There probably won't be the games needed to bring interest in this. Hopefully, the controller is phenomenal.

Honestly the pro pad sucks compared to the PS4 or Xbone pads. Feels very cheap and is nowhere near as intuitive.
So what if the NX turns out to be a smartphone or a tablet running on android, with a clipon to make it a controller, which connects to the 'home console' part?

I think Nintendo should schedule an event and send out invites but also livestream the event. Probably in Autumn.
They also need to get a concerted push to get more independents to develop for it.
Big ass event all around the world with a stage presentation then live demos for all.
Are they shooting themselves in the foot not showing it for so long? People are bound to be let down after hyping themselves for the twist.
Yes. It should've been revealed at E3 along with some games. The controller doesn't necessarily have to be shown but the games should've been to build some hype.

I'm sure that's exactly what is happening right now at Nintendo. Alarms going off, it's like a red alert. All projects being scrapped, everything moving to mobile.
I wonder what Nintendo thinks about this mobile market, which they resisted for the longest time, embracing the hell out of their games. They can work wonders with a simple puzzle game.
It means Nintendo will be the next Konami.
I found the way Nintendo can announce the NX.
It will all be this mystery week, marked on the maps of Pokemon Go players. A big group is set up to do a walk like the 1000 people in Austrailia who did a big organised walk. At the end of it they all end up in an auditorium, where Reggie takes the stage and unveils the NX live.
RE timing, method,reveal, media, video etc
