I've never owned a wheel & was thinking it might be a great way to get back into racing games.

Is there any good ones for PS4? Maybe wheels that work on multiple systems?

If I do get one, am I better off with a basic wheel, pedal....or one with the full shift system?

If you get one get it for Xbox One simply because Forza is the best racing game out there.

As far as I know PS4 wheel support is pretty slim. Not even sure if G25/G27 support is in the works or not. Upon some googling, the T80 seems to be an officially licensed product and should work. Dunno about the quality of the build, so you'd better read some amazon reviews or something before taking the plunge.

If you want multi-platform support, I guess you're SOL. I don't think Logitech or Fanatec wheels are PS4-supported, much less XBone. There are a number of Thrustmaster wheels that used to work with both PS3 and PC but I dunno about the current console gen.

PS4 probably won't get much racing wheel support until Gran Turismo 7 comes out.

Fanatec wheels finally got driver support for PS4 last month, so one of those is probably your best bet, and should also work on PC. Logitech wheels still aren't supported on PS4, but G25/27 and Driving Force GT all work on PC as far as I'm aware. I don't think Thrustmaster is meant to be as good as Fanatec or Logitech.

Gear sticks are fun. Unless you can't afford it, get one with a gear stick.

Thanks Steel, Raven & Foolz.

I actually never heard of Fanatec....gonna have to look into it. I have the perfect glass computer desk to use for a racing wheel setup so I think this could be fun.

That Logitech G27 setup is badass....exactly what I would want but it seems as if they don't have PS4 support yet. Idiotic.

Checked Amazon for Fanatec wheels and the selection is non existant. Will look some more.

You can get the G27 working, but you have to jump through loopholes because for some reason Sony and Microsoft are being lethargic about driver support. Here's a vid on how it works:

But no force feedback which is half the fun. Sad

He could duct-tape a couple cellphones in vibration mode and have someone call him while he plays.

Greg Sewart is a credible source for racing wheels/ racing games. I'll ask him for you and report back.

The only racing wheel I ever bought was for the Dreamcast. It was shitastic.

Yeah I never wanted to spend the money on them. But with the tech these days, I think it would be cool. I'm just baffled at how it seems like the selection is so slim right now.
