Never ever could get into that show. Once I started watching, it was several seasons in and I never tried to start from the beginning.

That was fantastic!!!!! When that theme song hit, the feels. Mulder and Scully still have perfect chemistry. I a, not sure of the direction they are going of everything with the old conspiracy was a lie, that will allow them to explain CSM though. No mention of the end of the world date though.
I loved the original when it first aired. Not sure how well it would age. I am sure the monster-of-the week shows would hold up.

Yes!!!!!! We are back now, mulder and Scully doing random cases, love it! What a gruesome episode, I love how it tied to the mythology. What they are doing with their son is pretty cool. Next week a real monster episode! This is so fantastic, why only 6 episodes?!
^It's probably really expensive and takes a long time. They likely wanted to drop out what they had and see the reception before doubling down.

Holy shit!!!!!!! That was one of the greatest episodes in the history of the xfiles!!!!!! Hilarious!
It was perfect, the show is self aware so these episodes aren't just great original stories, they are also analyzing the series in general. It's brilliant, it works on so many levels. I always loved the goofy episodes and this one was perfection. I laughed so much.

I watched the first episode and I don't see what all the bitching is about. It was an average X-files show, which is better than most TV. Scully looks like the crypt keeper, but hey... no problem.
The gild has come off the lily in the preimse though. The premise of the original show, that which provided its edge, was that the government was lying to us. Now everyone knows the government is lying to us as a default position.
I saw the phone shop monster episode last night, best one so far.

The first episode was a lot of conspiracy babble spewed off for ages in a monotone voice. I feel bad for Duchovney having to memorise all that.
After 14 years the show that changed TV is coming back. This was before 24, before Lost, before Breaking Bad, before shows had major mythologies built in. It became a cultural phenomenon during the 90s when UFO and sic-fi were at the height of popularity. Its a brilliant show that had many famous writers like Vince Gilligan work on it. But above all it worked because of Mulder and Scully, the best duo in TV history in my opinion.
We are getting a small mini season, hopefully it turns into something bigger. 6 episodes starting tomorrow night, the whole cast is back, even the dead characters lol. I am just happy to see Mulder and Scully back, especially after that atrocious last movie that we won't speak about.
