Okay just listened to the podcast
We actually know the expectations of LKS, we can safely say that it's a flop.
Mario and Sonic together in a platformer. How about no! Sonic does not even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with Mario anymore. How about we make a good Sonic game before we put him together with Mario?
Sonic HD, not very smart seeing as Sonic always sells well on Nintendo platforms. Best bet is a Wiiware, PSN and XBLA release.
And no I am not going to appear on the Podcast. I cannot be arsed to get up that early anymore. I will appear when we have our first Euro Podcast with GG, Bugsy and Arny. So probably never.
Genesis: I actually played MK, but the blood advantage was gone in MK II. And the SNES has International Superstar Soccer, best sport game by far in that generation. Played some Sonic and Super Street Fighter, but I am more of a Sega Saturn fan.
Oh and SNES > Genesis.

On the topic of Sonic, who about we go fuck yourself. There are still good Sonic games! Mario and Sonic platformer would be the biggest game ever (if it were 15 years ago).

That was 15 years ago when Sonic rivaled Mario. Now the Sonic games are not even on the same planet. First let them make a good Sonic game, and with good I mean AAA, Sonic 2, 3 and Knuckles quality. And make a good 3D Sonic game it's long overdue.
If they manage that, then we can talk a cross-over.
Tokyo EAD could make an awesome 3D sonic game, but they are busy with Galaxy 2 now. And Donkey Kong deserves some love too.

In a Lost Vikings style that would work, Sonic could be all fast and jumpy and Mario could be all slow and floaty -- you could switch between them as the puzzle required.
