I have this netbook BTW it has a little mic symbol on the keyboard and a hole next to it. Is this a mic built in? Like on DS?
But there is also a regular jack hold for an external mic. Whassup with that?

That sounds like a built-in mic. You could test it by bringing up the Sound Recorder program in Windows.
The regular jack is indeed for an external mic. My laptop has both mic options.
