I'm building a Space room, so I need space wallpaper and carpets. Need the Nintendo items with loyalty points but that will take ages. I think the GAF guys used hacks and homebrew to unlock the stuff. Otherwise I guess lab equipment. I have some stuff, I think there are only a limited number of lab items though, so I can't build a nice one. I have the chair, table and unknown machines. That bench thing, the sink set.
Oh I need more Ninja/samurai items. I have the samurai suit for display in the home (not the one you wear) and I have the same ninja sword Dvader has.

Sorry man, it was gig time and there was someone bugging me to use the TV. What's so good about my town BTW? I dont have any upgrades. The most I did was set up two orchards in the un-used land for cash reaping. I have got 4 homes though with 2 rooms in each.
My problem is the Gracies shop seasonal furniture. Each season so far I can afford maybe one or two items in the sales, but that isn't enough to fill a room with a theme. Oh and Monkey before you came over I tried connecting to your place for ages and kept getting the message that "Something strange and curious but we cant connect you, maybe the other person has removed your code."
this space frog thing Ribbit just moved into town and i think he may have a space room as he had the tiling and wallpaper if i'm not mistaken

I just got a space suit, it sucks, looks nothing like a space suit.
Finally got turnips today, the white ones went for 90 something bells, I bought 100 as I usually see them go for over 100 in Nook's. Nook's will be closed tomorrow, that means I am getting a bigger store!! Woo! One of my town folk is leaving, so expect him to move into one of your towns, its a cat.
GG your town is awesome cause how nicely organized it all is. All the paths are lined with flowers or trees. You use dirt perfectly for more curved paths. Beautifully organized town.

I am so used to having a goal in games that for me I felt that I must have everything. Now I need to pick and choose. Are there like super rare items, something that if you have it other AC players are like "OMG!"

Do you have the space helmet too? So what was your nooks before the change? Wonder if the nookingtons will open up.
What I did with my town was use the bare circles as sort of like way points for the paths. I tried to make all paths in straight lines, took some tree chopping to work but its worth it. I planted the trees on top of horizontal paths because of the way fruit falls. It means you can pick it up without leaving your path and ruining your grass.
The game is about collecting everything. 
Well, you have to weed out the stuff you like least, but I've created 4 characters and have storage for all of them. And you can have 3 rooms per house so I'm stocking up

Wait, so you are supposed to create more characters, thats how you get more houses?
you are not "supposed" to do that. it's only for people like steel's whose household has many people playing the game so they can each have their own character and house ... and for people like gg who have multiple personality disorder

I might have space type wallpaper. I'm planning a space room too. I have the moon, an asteroid and might use the space station. I made a space wallpaper and carpet pattern, it's pretty good.( just dots really).
Have you seen the astronaut helmet at the clothing store? I wanted it so bad but it appeared when the game first started and i had no money. Hasn't reappeared once in 3 months.

Well, your town seems better planned. You have better greenery , I totally ruined my groundcover.
Yeah, I had trouble connecting as well. I got that message once and also - "maybe he logged off". I noticed when I had fortress in the towns to visit list, there was only 1 bar lit up out of 4. Is that the connection quality or something else?

Er, no. You only get one house with 3 rooms and the other 3 houses are suppossed to be for people in your physical real house to play too. I'm crazy though and want to fill all the houses with theme rooms.

You can walk about and admire it like you do for animals houses. But unless you log in as that character you can't move furniture or access the cuboards etc. To swap items you have to just drop them outside somewhere then log on as the character you want to pick it up. That's why you see stuff lying around on the ground in my house. It's a really cool method. There are so many items in the game the only way to keep them is to turn into a little property tycoon. It adds challenge to the game too, instead of upgrading one house, do 4. Instead of one crammed cuboard, have 4.
You can have 12 rooms instead of 3 and put a different theme in each one. And I've even created 2 female characters to take advantage of all the womanly stuff. Yeah, otherwise you miss out on half the items in the game. Lovely kitchens and fancy dresses My chickita is going to have a kitchen room someday And Gracie's fashions suddenly mean a whole lot more

Astronaut helmet? Is that the space helmet thing, blue? I have that one.

The only downside is that you have separate friend codes for each one, so when I play as the other 3, I can't connect. But they are like side character storage houses, so most of the time I just use them to store stuff and decorate, then back to the main character.

For too long have my VGPress bretheren lived in desert like conditions.
Towns like Chesnut, Camelot and Eekanema need help to become the lush grasslands they should be.
And so I will be the first. From this day forth I will collect flower seeds from Nooks and drop them at the gate. When those with desert towns visit, they may take their share, although leave some for the other poor souls. Using the Animal Tracks thread here on the site, you too can heal your desert town in 6 weeks (assuming you have enough flowers).
I ask others to do the same, leave flower seeds at your gates, let's help these stupid A-holes poor people recover their towns.
Nookingtons sell 7 flowers a day which is something like 500 bells a day. The cost of a piece of fruit. Give a man a piece of fruit and he will eat it and want more. Give a man some seeds and he can plant them and make more and sustain his family and stuff like that. Or so I hear.
