 There's only two ways I can think of that'll rott tunips:

1. The turnips are over a week old (turnips only last 7 days).
2. Time traveling (i.e someone changed the games clock or date)

Now, there is a third possibility which is an odd glitch of somekind. Every game has glitches, so that could also be possible.

I think as long as your Animal Crossing in-game clock is the same as your Wii clock, then you should be fine changing it. I believe the game reads both to determine if you have been time traveling or not. Mind you, this is just a theory, but I've read similar things on the ACC forums.

Wait you can still fix it. Travel back at the exact moment you went time travelling the last time and stop your past self from time travelling.

Well, it's been nearly a week, and I'm finally starting to notice some improvement in my grass. As you guys have seen from my town tour video, I laid down some patterns to walk on, and for the most part, I have kept the majority of my walking on them. Tonight, I was walking along real slow I definately saw some tiny little specs of grass begining to form in the worn down areas. Comparing them to my video, I have come to the conclusion that they were not there on Sunday night. This is growth, albeit very, very slow growth, but growth nonetheless.

 I'm also seeing my pathways taking shape too. I removed some of my patterns, and I can definately see little dirt paths separated by the grass and snow. It's pretty neat to seem these paths form, and I'm sure that's what the developers had intended. Overall, my town is looking a fair bit better than it had last week.

I saw Jingle tonight, and I managed to trick a bunch of presents out of him. Unfortunately, he gave me some duplicates too.  

I got:

• Jingle Piano x2
• Jingle Rug x2
• Jingle wallpaper 
• Jingle Dresser

I didn't get the entire set, but there's always next year!

 I want that Piano and rug. NOW. I got the wallpaper, carpet and some cuboard and something else I forget. Christmas day was bunk though, no special stuff. Stalking Jingle from house to house was fun. I saw your video, your towns grass is worse than mine. I think this paths feature would be okay if it was explained properly in game and if it encouraged you to mark down routes. 

So where were you Steel today on Christmas day? I checked and your gates were not open
