You know, it's weird. I played about an hour of de Blob every day last week, and while I found it to be very charming, I also found the missions to be a bit boring. However, I had to return the game to my rental store yesterday, and I actually kinda miss it now. de Blob isn't a game that I can play for hours on end, but it does have an addictive quality about it that makes you want to play it everyday, even if only for a little while . . .

I find I can play on free mode, with no time limit and no challenges or enemies and I still find it ridiculously additive just rolling about and painting the environment to that music. The challenges aren't great, although there are some good ones later. There are also separate challenges which are better and harder too. There are quite a few levels in this game, how far did you get?

I made it all the way through the third level, and about half of level four, I believe.

Can't be sure till I check but I think there are 9 massive levels with sub-missions on each one I still have yet to unlock.

Well this game was on my radar but I've decided to buy a 360 instead and get some games I've been drooling over.  I know I know, sounds like a cop-out and all, but I can't justify purchasing de Blob when there's GOW 1&2, FC2, RE:5, Dead Space, PoP, Mirrors Edge to name an extreme few.

I'm missing my action/horror titles and the Wii is simply not filling the void, but, BUT, I will certainly still look to buy de Blob in the future, just not now.

Yep, money not really the issue, besides, there's a GOW 1&2 & Far Cry 2 bundle Premuim going for £185.99.  By the time I've finished those the others will have dropped in price as well.

Still not picking up Disaster? Tons of action in that game. It's more of a summer blockbuster than any other game I've played. For obvious reasons, once you start playing.

EDIT:

Make sure you get Oblivion!

I just get this feeling that it's just another crumb off Nintendo's table, it doesn't feel like I've got a choice, if you know what I mean?

Honestly, it's a really fun game. Dumb, shoddy looking in places, disjointed.... but FUN. Check out the thread or the NeoGAF thread. There are a lot of people who enjoyed it a lot.

It was 3:30 am, and I thought I'd try it for 10 minutes then go to bed. I couldn't stop. Sad
