Just started Psycho Pass, cool show reminds me of the cyberpunk style stuff I watched in the 90s.
Nice to see more serious shows after so much frivolity.
Also against all odds I've come to enjoy Black Butler, I would hesitate to call it good, but its enjoyable enough.
Guren Lagaan on the other hand has gone downhill with every episode, but I've only watched 5 episodes.
Blood Lad is kinda weird, not great but okay.

So I was checking out more Naruto and looked at the Japanese vs English dub and checked the subtitling too.
I mean.... what the? Why in the heck does the English dub have Naruto repeating BELIEVE IT!! Every 10 seconds? I checked the subs and whilst Japanese Naruto does indeed say it once in a while, the English dub team have decided to pepper every scene with it?
I can only assume that because Japanese uses more words than English, they use it to pad out the dialogue so it matches with the lip synching? Or they just wanted a catchphrase for the kids to latch onto.

The impossible has happened, I saw 5 episodes of Naruto last night and they were all good. The bridge episodes, season 1.
I've come to sort of like him yelling Believe it!!!, it makes me laugh now and when he doesn't say it I feel like "Aw, he should have said it."
I think this is by studio Pierrot? And I think they did Bleach too and if so I'm noticing a lot of parellels like single battles stretching over multiple episodes. Strange martial arts powers that are essentially the equivalent of magic. Backstories being told, flashbacks happening during encounters etc.
I think Sakura is the only realy annoying thing so far, he voice actor is beyond crap and she doesn't actually seem to do anything either, how is she a ninja?

Seems very late 90s-ish but not a bad way.
The English dub is mostly decent but has its quirks. But overall, over the first 4 eps I was pretty intrigued by this show, will definitely be watching more.
Also seen up to ep 5 of Tokyo Ghoul, about these ghouls that eat human flesh and live secretly in modern Japan. Good, serious show but heavily censored on Netflix with black bits and colour changes to obscure the violence.
Netflix is awesome for anime, flickling between FMAB, Blood Lad, Black Butler, Gurren Lagaan and Tokyo Ghoul. All series are decent, Gurren getting better, as is Blood lad. BB is acceptably entertaining. Just passed the halfway mark on my third 3rd runthrough of FMA B and it's just as awesome as ever.
Yeah, Tokyo Ghoul is censored on every site; that's how it aires on Japanese TV. We'll have to wait for the DVD/BR release to see the uncensored version.

The story is about a demon king named Satan seeking to conquer the world of Ente Isla but, when confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina, is forced to retreat through a portal that transports him to modern day Tokyo, Japan. To survive and find a way to return to Ente Isla, Satan gains part-time employment at a fast food restaurant
Good show, basically a sitcom where Satan gets exiled to the real world and starts working at McDonalds. Pretty funny, very pleasant to watch.

There's also Lucifer and he's strangely not Satan but a general below Satan.
Oh yeah, finished The Devil is a Part Timer, fun show I like it alot the humour is spot on. This show and Blue Exorcist are fun times.
Next up: Guilty Crown as I hear it was the series done by the Attack on Titan studio before AOT. Plus the music in the trailer is amazeballs.
