I just found out that Kill la Kill is coming to Bluray here on July 15th. And it'll only cost $40 for 4 episodes, or $60 for the Limited Edition, which comes with the soundtrack CD and some extra artwork. So, the cheapest version will eventually cost me $200 for all 5 volumes, or $300 for the bonus stuff. Pricey as all hell, but I going to buy them all. It's that good. Not sure which version I'll go with yet, but I'll probably go with the LE since the soundtrack was fantastic.
I just pre-orderd the LE Bluray. Got free shipping too since it was over $50.
I get the feeling that collecting anime might be even more expensive than video games.

I hate shit like that, just give me a reasonably priced complete boxset.

Yes. They ended it completely too. No cliffhanger. There has been no announcement of a 2nd season, and I don't expect one. They are releasing an OVA sometime later this year, though.
Just checked, Attack on Titan on dvd in September in the uk, Kill la Kill Q4 this year Uk
^ Yeah, Attack on Titan comes out here in August.
I re-watched the first 4 episodes of Kill la Kill this afternoon. Yup, still awesome.
The creators of Kill la Kill also made an anime called Gurren Lagann. It's on Crunchyroll. I know nothing else about it, but I'm going to start watching that tonight!
^It's meant to be great.
Anyway, the new version of Jojo's Bizarre adventure...such a great mixture of humour, horror and action; all of which are used to great effect in part 2 of season 1. The "twists" in the fight scenes of part 2 are awesome, and a great way to make action scenes in comic book animation seem to flow smoothly.
^ Yeah, I have Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in my Crunchyroll queue. I added it a while back because the name sounded interesting. Haven't seen any of it yet.
I watched 11 episodes of Gurren Lagann today. Great anime, for sure. Not quite as bat-shit crazy as Kill la Kill, but its definitely up there in the insanity department.
I finally finished Attack on Titan today. The 2nd half of the season gets a little boring (which is why I didn't finished it sooner), but it's still very good overall.
Oh, wow! I just noticed Funimation has three seasons of Full Metal Panic available for HD streaming. I never did get to finish the first season.
You need to get on FMPanic FUMMOFU, great comedy version of FMP but only 13 episodes or so.
I''ve passed the 200 episode of Bleach and although the battles are getting exhaustive, it's got a lot better than the quagmire of boring seasons 6, 7 and 8. Season 10 has been pretty good so far, with the Captains wading into the Arunca battles.
It doesn't fit in any of the timeline or main story. It's just high school hijinks.
I just marathoned the last seven episodes of Kill la Kill tonight. All I can say is: OMFG! INSANE PLOT TWISTS GALORE! BAT-SHIT CRAZY BATTLES!!! AND THE ENDING--! I'm actually in tears right now. Even if they're $400 when it comes out here, I'm buyin' the series on Blu-ray, goddammit!
