I actually like this style of mask better. The hockey mask made it a little too much of a Friday the 13th clone. This helps the series further establish its own identity. Plus it looks cooler. Works better with the game's story too. If they tried to do this story with a hockey mask it would have been a joke.
It looks like a deformed bit of wood.
I'm very pissed about the lack of advertising and thus me not knowing about how to get the mask. I'd be homicidal if it was an actual mask.
