I played some salmon run yesterday. Not quite sure what to think of it so far. I don't have much experience with horde modes, but visually it all kind of blurs into eachother. The salmionid designs are ok, but they could have been more colourfull. Not sure how the gameplay will hold up either. Might get repetitive soon. Anyway, I'll be playing this for multiple hours most evenings, if you want to meet up just give a shout here at the VGPress.
He said he found playing a "true sequel" to be a better use of his precious spare time.

Yeah we killed them.
Salmon run is really basic. There has to be more to it than what I played right?
Salmon run would be great in couch co-op, or with friends online and voice chat.

What?! This is not right, how can you not get the game on time, this is your game! I'm upset for you.

. I'll be playing 3 hours from now for at least 2 hours. I think you need 4 friends to play salmon run together though.
I did not see that supreme, we need to set a time in advance.
I've gotten the super bonus each day. It's so random, matches can be easy or insanely hard. But it's about the only new thing in the game. Everything else feels exactly the same. Im still stuck grinding turf wars, if you told me this was a new game or some new dlc I would say new dlc.
I kinda feel bad, like I'll probably play the single player through before starting on multiplayer. If I start turf wars I'll be a scrub with a crappy weapon and no perks and I'll have to grind my way up. What is the base skillset in terms of weapon, sub and special?
In Splatoon 1 is used to be the Jr and grenade and bubbleshield. Is there any equivalent of the shield except for that armour special and how effective is that armour?

It's the same. Like most everything else.

Troll!
I had the worst run tonight. Nothing worked out and I lost nearly all my games. . I just gave up after half an hour.
I feel I am just going through the motions, it all feel s the same. I am almost level 10 so I can finally get to the fun stuff, but even then it's the same 3 modes as last time. Single player isn't fun, it has some neat new ideas but it still feels like just more levels. I did the second boss which was genuinely great, and I like being able to try out different weapon systems on it. Though if they expect us to beat every level with all 7 weapons to get full completion that's insane, I'm not playing the campaign 7 times. They should have included a time ranking for each level, that's a fun challenge not simply playing levels with every gun. Salmon run was not available yesterday but that mode has the depth of a puddle so a break is probably needed.
All that being said the game isn't of course an absolute blast to play as the gameplay remains fast paced and unique. I have become a master with the aerosol gun, I have no clue why I would use anything else. It covers so much turf, I splat everyone in range. I am always first place with like 2200p. Any time I switch guns it's a mess, I lose a lot more.
The crap?!
