Something like the lit smiley icon at gamespot where you could tell who was online would be cool. But not if it requires invasive cookies or privacy invasion or IP logging type stuff I guess. I have no idea how it works.

I was about to write down how inaccurate those things are, but then thought of a decent way of doing it.

Yeah sometimes when I wasn't logged in it said I was online.

Oh, but you were online. You just weren't logged in. The matrix is omniscient. If you weren't online, how would you know if you were logged in or not?

There's a variation of the "if a tree falls...." theme hidden in here, somewhere.

I'm confused.

 LOL Oh wait.  Crap LOL

All better; it was only with selecting multiple messages on the single page, which is now addressed.

Hey just wanted to give both a nod to whoever suggested the signatures (I believe it was aspro, but I can't find the original post) and to mention that they do seem to generate traffic.  Hopefully that also leads to further building the community.

^Every little bit helps, and you are welcome.

As a reminder to everyone, represent the VGPress at the forums you visit by placing our sig emblem in your sig.  You can do this by clicking on the Profile menu and selecting Change Signature.

Some new updates aside from just the visual refresh.  I've gone ahead with the gopher mascot/logo.  But he/she needs a name, an identity!

Additional changes, the main menu system has been simplified (no more clunky drop-down!).  Anything that used to be there such as account settings, posting blogs, etc. are now done through your profile page.

^Good menu changes.

I like the mole, he's like us, a gaming underground, digging up the news.

How about Digger?

Gopher.  The change to the design's been in the pipe for a long while, just needed the new banner/logo which was the hard part.

And Digger I'd have to say no on, if only because it's too easy to associate with digg.com.

^Fair enough.  I really like the new menu's. The site looks so much better.

Taking the first letters of our top 6 users - Geek, Iga, Raven, Steelio, Davader and Yoda here are some name anagrams.

Girdsy
Digsry
Gridsy

None of them are very good. Those letters make for poor (if any) english anagrams.
