Second one: A guy who told me when I started not to talk to his customers EVER, yesterday e-mailed me saying, "Ah you respond, you're more diplomatic than me anyway".
Me: I managed to force out 3 small blobs of poop, out of a 45 minute toilet session today.
I've cleaned out a small part of my shed today and slept past eight.
Today, I wrote 3,100 words and got paid for it, so that's always good (nothing to get excited about, it's not games journalism, just my everday job). Also finished a 5 week project with successful outcome when everyone was expecting assured defeat.
On theflip side... well, that's not for this thread. Someone whould start a Petty Annoyances thread.
Had several frontline employees spontanesouly wax lyrical about how things are better at our company now then before the reformation.
Also, my sick cat is on the improve.

The company has been around since at least the very early 1500s?
This thread is basically twitter. Just think about all the time you've spent in here that could have been devoted to promotion on twitter.

Here's a small victory too big for Twitter.
I was able to get Splatoon for $47.49, only 49 cents more than the cheapest price I saw it for recently, so I no longer feel bad about not getting it then. Isn't this technically a 49 cent loss, though? And I'm not sure what effect this has on my conscience? I mean, it's unlikely to arrive before August...but it's still me technically buying it before August. Sounds like a loss overall if I put it like that. Shit.
humblebrag I guess.
But we spend a lot of time whinging, i figured to create a space to acknowledge the upside.
I should be getting my car back today. It only took 4 weeks. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Driving that would be the equivalent of walking around with your erection sticking out of your pants.
I had a two day audit, pretty big one. passed with no non-conformances.
Two victories, I got my car back and the other party admitted liability. Game on!
Went for a 25 minute walk (which belongs in the victories of great magnitude thread) and saw a "tornado grey" Toyota 86 which looked incredible, with only the Toyota logo and no other badges on it; it's just a shame you can't drive without license plates. Ogling it almost made me miss the next driver waving me across the road. I also saw a very seedy MX-6, but it was parked and I've seen it before. More importantly I found this on the footpath where paintings have been known to be dumped in the past; this was one of the better ones:
And I also deduced that the old man who collects scrap metal nearby isn't dead yet, and is still collecting scrap metal as evidenced by the scrap metal in his backyard and his truck; in the cabin of which was a book, as per usual. So that's 4, I think.
EDIT: 5: it was like a spring day; warm and intermittently sunny and windy.
This is a thread to appreciate small victories, what ever they may be.
Mine: Yesterday I went to the hardware store to buy low-energy light bulbs that can be dimmed (can't find them anywhere).
On way out, saw lounger for my verandah (patio) that was on sale for $99, marked down from $166. I've been looking for one for about 2 years.
