I tried very little.  A defense game where I had to set up plants to destroy waves of zombies.  It was supposed to be multiplayer but no one else joined me.  It was just me learning the moves of the game.

I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to join a multiplayer game... Then again, if you're talking about Garden Ops, the mode you start from Crazy Dave's RV, then I've never tried to play that online. I usually do Solo Ops; I have joined in on one of my nephew's games before and that was fine.

Just finished the Plants L.E.A.F. Quest-line and was rewarded with a surprise Game Mode and playable character (in that particular game-mode at least)...!

It's the game that keeps on giving!  Grinning

Played quite a bit more of this last night and man this game is a lot of fun. So much content, so many character variants.

Just go into your HQ in the BackYard Battleground and look at the book of stickers...

You'll get an idea of just HOW much content it has!

Yeah I checked that out earlier, pretty incredible.

So far I've been using all my coins in Phenomenal Character Packs. Is that the way to go for now?

If you just want to unlock characters, sure, but keep in mind you should buy some of the consumable item packs too so you have plant and zombie AI troops and pot and robot turrets for when you're doing horde mode games... The customizable stuff is personal preference, but you occasionally get alternate secondary attacks in those packs too. Just make sure to read the descriptions of the packs and stock up on certain items for when you might need them!

Playing a Turf Takeover round or Suburbination, or even Garden or Graveyard Ops, well often nets over 20,000 coins, so don't worry too much about spending on the small stuff too!

You also get 20,000 coins for levelling up a character to level 10 and promoting him or her! There's also quite a few chests around the backyard that will give pretty large sums of money; you need stars to open these though. Check the Quest Bulletin board in your HQ for daily quests that earn you stars!

Cool, thanks. I still need to check out the Ops mode and single player portion. I want to start doing some quests and earning stars. Tons of stuff in this game, I love it.

That was fun, but when you have teams of good players, those Gnome Bomb matches can go on for a really, really long time. Capturing, losing, recapturing and planting the gnome gets to be a frantic sports match... When it comes down to one last graveyard or garden and two whole teams are defending and attacking in unison, it gets to be a chaotic BLAST!!

Finished the Zombies Quest line and opened the game mode and playable character specific to IT this morning!

I could almost call this game beaten, but there's a specific goal I've set for myself to accomplish concerning 200 stars...

I've got some good news and I've got some bad news.

Bad news first:

  • My free trial ended recently

Now the good news:

  • I bought a copy of the game today
