PHOTO DOJO LEADS A FIST-PUMPING LINEUP OF NEW DOWNLOADABLE GAMES

May  10, 2010

Admit it: You've always dreamed of quitting your job and roaming the  countryside as a legendary kung fu warrior. Thanks to the new Photo  Dojo™ game for the Nintendo DSiWare™ service, your dream is finally  within reach. The game features customization options that let you add  your entire body and voice to wild kung fu matches. It puts you right  into the middle of a hilarious fighting game. Best of all, it's  available for a whopping zero Nintendo DSi Points™ now through June 10.  That's right – ZERO! Don't wait – 200 Nintendo DSi Points will be  required for download starting June 11.

After you download Photo Dojo, be sure to keep an eye out for some of the other big  games Nintendo is releasing during the next month. We're starting off  this week with a hand-held version of the cIassic Earthworm Jim.  Not to be overruled, a new Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney™  title serves up some justice for the WiiWare™ service.

Meanwhile,   the "Big Name Games" section of the WarioWare: D.I.Y. series keeps on growing, packed with new downloadable microgames from   the industry's most talented designers. This week's addition comes from Jason Schreiber of Powerhead Games, creator of the award-winning Glow   Artisan for the Nintendo DSiWare service. New "Big Name Games" will  be added every Monday through July 26, all available to download for  zero Nintendo DSi Points to anyone with broadband Internet access and a  copy of either WarioWare: D.I.Y. for the Nintendo DS™ family of  systems or WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase software for the WiiWare  service. Visit the Nintendo Channel on your Wii™ system today to learn  more about these games and to get a look at Jason Schreiber's awesome  new microgame.

Aren't VC releases on a different day than WW?

No they all get released on the same day.  So this makes it two weeks without a VC release? Ouch.  What the hell happened to the Virtual Arcade??

Oh well at least I'll pick up Photo Dojo.  I'll give the DSi this, there are some high quality free downloads for it.  Sounds like this could be good.

Yeah I'm utterly disappointed with it.  2010 was supposed to be the big "year of the Wii arcade" for me.  The DataEast collection and TvC were good starts. But there hasn't been one notable VA release this year.  It's depressing.

Now why would I need that?

It's like YOU asking for a Doctor and Daddy simulator on VC.

That's the one. I've said it before, the Wii Vitality Sensor would make a home version of this game a reality:

No new VC releases for 2 weeks now? FU, Nintendo! Argh! Where's my Pilotwings 64? Nintendo = bastards!

F*** this. I'm seriously thinking of getting all of the old Nintendo consoles again. At least that way I can play Pilotwings 64, Goldeneye and a crap ton of other awesome games that will never come out on VC. AND I won't have to worry about DRM nonsense anymore either. AND I will be able to play Star Fox 64 with rumble! AND my cat will have some new cables to chew on! Happy --er, wait. That last part may not be a good thing. Sad
