Hmmmmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Actually I don't know at all if I'm interested. I'm not really a huge fan of the series (ok.. I admit I only played Metroid prime 3 and it was ok) but well, exploration+scanning+pewpew tends to amuse me a lot.

...

Well I suppose I'll decide depending of its release date ^^

You should rent the Metroid prime trilogy and try the first one.

I'm in France, there is no renting here. But I can try to find a friend who could lend it to me.

Metroid Prime 3 was a major yawn-fest compared to the first one, and evne the second. Screw the toher two and go straight for the first one!

I like how sharp they are, I think they will look great in motion with all the specular mapping moving around with the lighting and super sharp 60 fps action shooting and grappling and kicking ass in all directions like Ninja Gaiden + Samus :-)

And don't forget, it has diverse environments as well going by the previous media:

And the lava, and the frozen stuff, the dynamic camera movements, etc. Watch the old trailer again, promising :-)

Yeah, can't forget about that.

I think the first person bits will be mainly for scanning, so it will basically be like 2D metroid with first person scanning and occasional shooting. I can live with that.

I dont know what to think about Metroid, all impressions are positive but it sounds so weird. Auto aiming, no missiles in 2D, having your upgrades being activated by the story, 3rd to 1st person switching, it all sounds very un-Metroid like. We need a demo.

Yah.

You are a yawn fest compared to Foolz the first, righteous and divine man of Melbourne.

Hate to say it but the art isn't a patch on Metroid Prime. The space station looks so dull.

Looking good and most impressions were positive despite how weird it sounds. Awesome. Shame no footage.

LOL

Sorry I was in the middle of doing the news updates on the news page. Didn't notice. My ISP is still slow, I had it on pause to load and it was actually a still screenshot from the slideshow.

Do you do the updates manually in the front page? Maybe you can just pull them from their RSS feeds. When I want to check out Nintendo related news fast I just check this page. It's pretty cool (though some feeds are wrong and not just Wii, I don't think he's updated the code in quite a while). Having a page like that for all systems could be cool. Just add only the websites you find credible or something, and leave room for manual additions just in case.

Or at least just make it so all you need to do is paste the story's feed url and it writes everything automatically.

That link takes me to a 404 page.

I do the updates manually each day, which can be a hard slog when events come up. There are a few gubins which make it easier, but the news tag must have a tick in the box thing has become irksome.

Yoda! Sad

There really isn't a proper balance to make that work.  Sites repeat the same information so often there'd be a multitude of duplicate stories, aside from the fact that if we were just tossing up RSS feeds, there'd be little service in using the news feed.  Everyone can post news (some clearly do a lot more than others!).

I like the balance on that page. I've learnt to only check the feeds of the 3-5 websites I care for while skimming the rest just in case they have any decent updates. Anyway, what about the last line?

Whoa, way too much info to process, and the pop ups. Damn the pop ups.

Our way you only get the one story posted once, if its news. Not 10 different links for the same thing.

Well that's the same thing only with a slight manual intervention.  That said, the thought of being able to enter a feed then select stories from that feed is potentially workable, though a bit of a UI nightmare.

No pop ups in firefox for me, without using any ad block plug ins or anything.

I didn't mean exactly that in the last line, just putting the story's url in there, and having it write the title and where it's from automatically. Unless that's how you do it already? I haven't actually tried it, just seemed GG was having some trouble with it not being very streamlined.

Pop ups galore in IE8. Haven't tried with Opera.

The updating here works well, with quirks. Most times you can just copy/paste a title/link and the url is auto-completed, other times it doesn't work.
