I don't know, I think I'll just say "Screw it" and pick up yhe PS3 version just to have a chance to play with Leo and Vader. But wait, Archie and Bear will surely get the 360 version.

Wow....exact replica.
Ah well, I'm not going to make my deadline of finishing ME2 by tonight. I underestimated the time I would need to finish. People finish in 17hrs, but I just can't seem to do it. I just was assigned the IFF mission, and I am 20+ hours in. Most of the Loyalty missions haven't been started either. The PS3 DLC is most definitely to blame; I am not complaining in the least, but it was The Lair of the Shadow Broker that pushed me over the edge. Most of the DLC missions took me an hour or so to finish. Broker took a few. I am satisfied though. I hooked up with Miranda in my 360 playthru, but always wanted to continue with Liara. Now I was able. I am estimating about 7 more hours between all the loyalty missions, the last mission and The Arrival. It is 6:15 now. That would put me after midnight by quite a bit. Not a big deal, as I am getting Street Fighter X Tekken tonight too and probably would have tried THAT out first rather than ME3 anyway.
The fact that I almost NEVER play games a second time makes this a triumph anyway. I will definitely be done by tomorrow regardless, so at least I will still hit the launch day. My stores ARE doing midnights, but I'll be starting the game at the same time as the rest of you anyway. Can't say I didn't try!
Of course NY stores will be open. Grrr. I still may get it tonight if I am desperate enough... and I am.
I haven't even touched ME3 yet, but I feel as if I've played a full sequel to the ME2 I played on my 360 originally.
I am absolutely astounded by the content contained both in the game that I missed the first time and in the DLC episodes too. It's not just minor things either; The Arrival had events in it that I KNOW will effect the events in ME3 in monumental ways. Kasumi and Zaeed, the Hammerhead Missions, The Shadow Broker, The Arrival... there's just sooo much that fits right in with the original ME2 and ties into ME3... I don't even understand how BioWare left some of this stuff OUT of the game, relying on people buying DLC to get the "full" story. I'm not opposed to DLC in any way, I just don't understand how they could have players miss out on some of the story elements if they DIDN'T buy it.
I've spent a full day longer on ME2 than I expected, partially due to not wanting to play or do anything yesterday after that little annoyance in the PGD, but ALSO because I am exploring ME2 in ways I never even knew existed before! I wish there was a way for us to show the major story decisions we all made so we could discuss them. There's just so many mind-boggling variables, I am both anxious to see how BioWare could include everything and tie them all up --AND-- worried that there's no possible way they will be able to.
I guess I'll see in the next few days!
I do not understand how people played ME2 without all that content, it would not feel like the full game. I will tell you that there are a TON of references to everything you do in those DLC in the first few hours of ME3. Not minor things, major things like Liara being the Shadow Broker, its stuff I feel you need to know. I kind of hate that I am playing ME3 incomplete basically as I know there will be like 8 hours of DLC added in the future,
Great content, worth the extra money?
I'm still not buying any DLC.
Hey, in MAss Effect 2 is there a good way to compare and switch out weapons? I was used to how they did it in ME1, now I am 5.5 hours into 2 and I still don't know how to trade them out or upgrade.
You are somewhat limited to the weapons you can use depending on your class. Being an Adept, for example, I really only used Heavy Pistols and Sub-Machine Guns. I later added Sniper Rifles thru Advanced Weapon training. Your character automatically equips the strongest weapon in each category, once it is found in the field or created thru research. You can see what options are available to you whenever you are given the option to change your load-out either in mission or on the ship, but, again, you typically have the best weapon equipped already.
I am still not done with ME2 on the PC yet, so I STILL have not played ME3...
I am having fun with ME2 though...how could I not, the game is amazing. You know what struck me this time around that I thought was funny is where they put certain characters on the ship. Like, the most leaderlike people, or the most stabalizing, are up near the top two floors. Then below them on the 3rd floor are the guys who are kind of just there for the ride but also have a good head on their shoulders. Then down in the basement floor are all the crazies. Pretty funny.
I gotta say too, the characters are all great in this game. They are so much more varied and interesting than they even were in ME1....This is kind of Bioware's mid-90's Final Fantasy in that way.
Yup ME2 is so incredible, the characters all so memorable. Just wait till you get to ME3.
Aspro dont worry about the weapons, I know you get a choice of like two and all you have is a description, some are better for armor for example, just go by that. All upgrades get applied across all weapons of the same type. Basically dont worry about choosing a gun, just pick the type you like the most.
Mass Effect 2 finally done, tonight I can start...
MASS EFFECT 3!!!
...unless someone objects to me Jack-ing all over it?
