No, Zelda sucks. Literally. That's why Link is so willing to risk his life all the time.

I would help but I have no internet at home at the moment, I am at a friends right now. If you are buying keys you have failed, seriously you should have an excess of keys. If keys are an issue, enter dungeon 8 and get the master key, will make the rest of the game easier.
If you need rupees, find the blue spiders, go to that rocky area with the four rock formation that can be opened for a warp (left of the start of the game). That screen as a ton of spiders, they tend to drop lots of rupees.
The reason the blue candle only works once each screen is cause the red candle allows infinite uses per screen. So get that, level 7.
Thanks for the tips.
EDIT: I let the blue dudes kill me, and now I'm back at the beginning of the dungeon. Thankfully, I still have the flute!
Ravenprose said:I bombed a wall in dungeon 5, which led to a room filled with blue dudes (they were really difficult to kill). That room led to another room with more blue dudes that eventually led to another room which had a flute. I backtrack, and now I'm stuck in the first room I bombed the wall in, and the door won't open. I have a key, killed all of the enemies, and pushed all of the blocks in the room, yet that stupid door won't open. Is this a glitch or a trap of some kind?
Are the blocks like a backwards C?
Dvader said:Are the blocks like a backwards C?
No, there were four of them, which looked more like a rectangle. I pushed all four sides of each block, but nothing happened.
I'm out of that room now. I had the blue guys kill me.

Then that is probably a one way door that traps you from going back. Keep on looking, you are on the right track when you see rooms with those jumping things with whiskers and mummys.

The creature you're referring to is Pol's Voice. And just in case you need the tip, they are extremely easy to kill so long as you use the bow and arrow.
Off to dungeon 6!
Ravenprose said:Wow, the boss in dungeon 5 was a whimp! I blew the whistle once, and stabbed it twice with the Master Sword, and it was all over. Easiest boss in the game, so far.

Ahhhh the 6th Labyrinth. Welcome to hell. Bring a large shield of you're screwed.

Yeah, I must have missed something there. I hope I didn't miss any important items.

Yeah, those bunny heads (that's what I call them ) were a pain to kill with the sword, but you can kill several of them with a single arrow if you line them up. Thanks for the tip!
I was like 5 years old!
I can't do that anymore.
Just getting old, man. Maybe that's why.

Okay, I just beat dungeon 6. Thankfully, robio's warning got me to buy the red medicine before hand, which I definitely needed. However, unlike every other dungeon so far, I did not find a new item in the dungeon itself. Did I miss something important? I think I checked all the rooms on the map.
Ah, I figured out what the power bracelet does. I now know what all of those little question marks mean on the map. Pretty useful secret.
Ravenprose said:I just found the power bracelet by accident on my way to dungeon 6! I'll have to see what that does later.

You missed the magic wand. It's not crucial for anything. It's just a weapon, but it's a good one. Long distance weapon with the strength of the white sword.
Question marks on the map? What, you mean the four blocks.
Flute is a warp.
Level 6 has an item but it is not necessary to beat the game with.
Looking for 7, look for something you see in different screens but one is not like the others. Thats a vague Zelda like hint I think.

Damn, that would have been cool! I may go back and try to find it.

These question marks are all over the map. I figured out early on they are secrets, but I couldn't figure out what the ones with the snail-shaped rocks were until I found the power bracelet.
Yeah, but it only warps me to the dungeons I already beat. Well, it was also used against the boss in dungeon 5 too.Dvader said:

Yeah, that's pretty vague!
Oh, and that magic wand is absolute badass! Makes the game sooo much easier!
