I just finished the bird dungeon, easiest so far. It really could've been a little tougher. Windblight Ganon was a blast and also easy (if you have the right weapon).

So pointless. I got a frost blade, fire blade, special trident, lyne blade and all sorts of other stuff. Anyone else save high power weapons for larger enemies? I need some more inventory slots.
It's actually kind of handy.
Yeah Mipha's Grace is very handy to have. I still go through quite a bit of food during the tougher fights. It was the first Divine Beast that I did and it really helped my out early on in the game.
I definitely try and save my stronger weapons for the larger enemies. I've upgraded my slots several times and find the Weapons slot to be the most valuable one to upgrade.
Well I have completed the four Divine Beasts, 61 Shrines, found 58 Korok seeds, found 3 Great Fairies, have the Master Sword, found 4 memories, and have the map all filled in. I guess I can go and try to confront Ganon or keep exploring. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I'm currently working my way through my first devine beast. I'm also going to avoid this spoilerific thread like the plague, as it seemems everyone is much further in than I am.
I really like the visuals in this game. It's not a technical juggernaut on whatever system you're playing it on, but much like Wind Waker it has a very unique style (but cooler than Wind Waker) and crazy attention to detail even though it's not any kind of GPU monster. The use of different colors and effects is very impressive too. It kind of reminds me of that self titled Prince Of Persia that camne out on Xbox 360 like 6 years ago.
So glad I can play this with the Pro Pad too....much more comfortable.
totally agree. The art direction of the landscape is truely stunning, especially when the lighting hits the rolling hills just right.
Rito done, really simple compared to Zora. It felt like Nintendo ran out of time to put a proper quest there. Dungeon was good.
I found zeldas white horse. I also found a mythical horse, cool stuff. Next I'm going for the master sword.
Anyone else deliberatly avoiding getting the master sword? I feel like it would ruin the fun of new weapons and having things break.
Also, I'm really getting into the memories. It's a really interesting story technique. As a player you are thrown into this world where everything is new and the story makes sense, yet it starts refreshing your memory and filling out gaps in your knowledge.
Seeing Zelda's weaknesses also makes her more human. And it kinda ties into Links "Awakening" as the old title.

Yes it is. Nice that they put in the long recharge.

How many shrines are there?

Oh, I avoided rito and went for Zora as I thought it was hard.
Glad I went to rito by accident as the warm gear really helped out in other areas.
GG there are 120 shrines.

There must be a ton of hidden shrines then - not viewable from towers. I'm not even above 50 and I only have 1 more map section to unlock.
So by now you all must have noticed that when the light is at just the right angle everything looks more vivid and detailed. You've probably seen it on the grass - but I also noticed it on blue-ish coloured mountainside.
So why don't they just make the whole game with that lighting if it brings out the detail so much?
It might get monotonous I guess.
Last night was a series of bad luck and almosts. I got the lord of the mountain but stepped off and it ran away. I reached a falling star and was about to press a to pick it up and it disappeared at that moment. I went into a shrine where's you play this kind of golf game, lost all my swords trying to hit a ball in for the extra chest.
And it was all awesome! This game is great dispite my issues with it. Tonight it's lost woods time.
It's actually kind of handy.
