Got this game from amazon. Euro guys they are selling it for £10 brand new.

Game is very addictive, I was sort of hypnotised for an hour playing it. It seems to have a lot more depth than the presentation suggests, but the tutorials are so good its never a problem. It's very snappy in how you use the remote and sort of stamp buildings down. The interface is wonderful, I would love to see a theme park wii made by these guys.

Yeah, seems really good, the only reason I stopped playing is because I know I would get back into Mario Galaxy 2 and forget all that I had learned in the tutorials. So I plan to finish galaxy 2 and then dedicate myself to this little gem.

It's really awesome and really pretty but I fucked up my kingdom good one time, and didn't get into it again. I will at some point though (and don't worry, you have to try hard to fuck it up as much as I did).

Start a non-story game and set the biggest island size to see. They're fairly small, yeah. After you finish it and if you want more of that style of game you can move on to the PC games Happy

This game is badass. I will review it eventually. It's cheap to pick up too so go ahead and nab yourself a bargain.

Take it from me, someone who hasn't played a game like this in well over a decade, where my last game was Theme Park. This game is so easy to get into and play, there is no pain barrier here, it's all pleasure.

The only people I can see not liking it are die hard god game fans who want anal and ridiculous attention to detail.

It has a really tactile feeling to everything, the little ships bob about and weave like rubber ducks in a bath as they follow your pointer that is shaped like an anchor Grinning

It's so easy to build things, you can literally point at something, click B to copy it and click A to set it where you want. To build a road network you just click and drag. I think the only way I can describe the feeling is somewhat like advance wars or fire emblem, where the actual process of clicking and moving your stuff has that fun, arcade feeling.

It has tons and tons of full voice acting, you use + and - to zoom in and out, really simple. They constantly offer you advice and everything is logged so you never lose where you are or what you should be doing. It's a really elegant, addictive design.

Before I played the wii game I would have been intimidated by that PC trailer. Now I know how the game works, it looks freaking badass. Grinning

Damnit, I don't know what happened last night. Suddenly they kicked off the training wheels and put all these restrictions on what I could build until I had a certain population. So you have to keep boosting your population before you can build the stuff to raise their civilization level - i.e make them go from pioneers to settlers etc.

So you end up with a large population with not enough amenitites to satisfy the bastards. Not only that they put you on an island where you can build EITHER a fishermans hut or a ship yard. Problem is that you need the fisherman to get food and you need to build ships so you can go to other islands to plant crops and stuff.

The game tells you when there is a big problem, lack of food etc. But if there are no emergencies, you can still operate a negative balance and be losing cash and the game never goes out of its way to tell you this or tell you why you are losing money. It has an on screen indicator which tells you when you are losing money but it wont tell you why.

I'm going to have to restart this chapter, take it slow and steady and keep the population to a bare minimum until I have more cash to build more amenities etc.
