I'm using the Master of Unlocking joke in a list of convention "achievements". In that case you get that achievement and 15 points for locking yourself out of your hotel room.
I do need a good Resident Evil question though.

Might be a bit easy, but "Before it was finally released in 2004, how many versions of Resident Evil 4 were in development before the final game was released? And for bonus points, one of these versions was a key inspiration for an iconic modern-day Capcom horror themed series. What's the series?"

Oh that's really good. That's like the perfect level of difficulty I'm looking for. I know that Devil May Cry was the result of one of the versions of RE4, but I don't know how many versions of development there were for RE4. Was it 3?
Okay got them done. If you're curious here are the trivia questions I ended up going with for the horror panel. Mind you some of them will have music or a quick video or something so it's going to lose just a bit here in the forum. But I'll tweak them here so you guys can play along if you like:
1. What is the name of the song from Castlevania II that has gone on to become THE song the series is identified with and has been covered by hundreds of people on Youtube?
2. What are the names of the four main cast members in the original Left4Dead?
3. Before it was finally released in 2004, how many versions of Resident Evil 4 were in development before the final game was released?
4. Going back to the previous question, one of those version of RE4 that was turned down went on to become it's own series. What's the game/series? (thanks again Homer)
5. What Hollywood actor did the voicework for the title character in the Gabriel Knight PC series of games?
6. (this one won't work here but I'm showing off a picture of Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti a cutesy parody type version of Splatterhouse that was only released in Japan and will ask the audience to identify what series it is from)
7. When Resident Evil came out Capcom coined the phrase "survival horror" to help identiify and promote the game. Shortly thereafter they released Dino Crisis and tried to come up with another phrase to describe the game. What was the phrase for Dino Crisis?
8. The following four titles are movies made by horror director John Carpenter. All of them were turned into videogames except for one. Which one?
Since you asked here are the answers:
- Bloody Tears
- Bill, Zooey, Louis, Francis
- Five versions RE4 including the final version. (can someone verify that for me? I've seen 4 and 5 listed but I think 5 is right)
- Devil May Cry
- Tim Curry
- N/A
- "Panic Horror" the phrase did not take off
- They Live is not a game. The Thing was on PS2, PC and Xbox. Halloween was on the Atari 2600. Big Trouble In Little China was on the Commodore 64
- The Fatal frame camera is called the "camera obscura"
- Madonna wanted to make a PE movie. Thank god it didn't happen.
RE4 should be 4 versions.
Dvader said:Damn I was hoping for a NES Big Trouble game. I guess I would have known about it if it existed. They Live would make an awesome game, duke nukem stole all it's lines already.
RE4 should be 4 versions.
Well if the VC service was still cared about you'd have a chance to play the game since it's still on the Commodore 64.

I don't consider anything pre NES to be playable, except for some arcade classics. To be fair many NES movie games are unplayable as well.
Hey guys I need a favor. I'm only a few weeks away from that horror panel I host and this year since I have prizes I'm doing a trivia contest. I've got a couple of "what game is this?" kind of questions where I show a screenshot and they have to name the game but I want to add a few real trivia questions in there too. I don't want them to be too hard, but they need to be the kinds of things that you'd need to have spent some time with the game to know (plus a few real tough ones).
in this vein I have:
