Gears of War and Pixar
Mine:
While fighting in a sub-orbital space station a Reaver and Dom end up crashing to a nearby planet. With no-one else to rely on the two cross the planet together to get back to a base station.
The Reaver confides that his tough-guy routine is actually covering a deep hurt. Dom talks a lot about Maria. Through it all, they become friends.
When they get to the base station they have to make a choice: to go back to their old ways and friends, or to forge a new life together. (err, somewhere this went from Pixar to homoerotic fanfic)...

Just replace the heterosexual relationships in Pixar films with homosexual ones and you've basically got Gears already.
Never playing Gears I cant get into specifics, but critics will end up saying the story is good, but not nearly as good as older Gears games and then they'll question if Epic's best days are behind them.

Kind of a joke thread based on this story:
"Epic Games producer Rod Fergusson sought storytelling advice from Pixar for the upcoming Gears of War: Judgment.
According to a new GameInformer interview, a story director from Pixar came into to Epic Games' headquarters to do a one day workshop with the studio.
"They talked about how they do story at Pixar in terms of storyboarding," said Fergusson."
So what can we expect from the next Gears of War story as influenced by Pixar?
