From scam to spam
They didn't cloes their first bracket! NOOOOOO!
I actually worked as a spammer from 2001 to 2003. Technically we were not spammers, we were "legitimate email marketers" but I think the only difference was we had an office as opposed to just working out of a basement. Good times and good money, but man did I feel like scum after a while.
But as I look at this kind of spam (I get the same crap) I can't figure out how they make money anymore. I mean, if the people receiving the email can't figure out what it's for, how can they possible be buying anything from it?? These kids today, they just don't know how to do it.
I would love to hear a detailed story from someone inside the spamming world about how it all goes down. What kind of people are involved, how do you end up getting a job as a spammer? What kind of hours, what is the pay range? Were you in a big operation or are they all mostly just a couple of guys? How do you contact all the fake rolex / viagara people to set up "advertising" deals? Do you buy all your email lists or farm them off Google somehow? What made you give it up?

These are officially the weirdest spam messages I've ever received... I'm not even sure what they're selling.

I just don't understand.. if you're going to the trouble to write a fake email to make it look like it actually has meaningful content, why not just take someone's actual email to a friend or relative.
And what's a "brat patrol"
