I'm the complete opposite.  Multiplayer just means more fun to me.  Laughing at stupid mistakes, talking about the "Oh shit!" moments, just hanging with buds and having a good time.

multiplayer for me goes back to the days of local multiplayer as I really can't get interested in online play with the single exception of Backgammon on 42 Classic Games DS.  Even back then I only really enjoyed co-op play as competitive multiplayer I think brings out the worst in people (myself included).  I remember exchanging vicious insults and then not speaking for hours with my best friend (a guy I love like a brother) whenever we played pro evolution against each other.  I've mellowed out a lot since but I still hate it.
