Lay the smack down on some fools and dance the night away.

Hi my real name is Saito and my favourite genre is Japanese pop

There is a word in Japan: Kawaii, this word means cute.

This is why our music is great. It is the antithesis of that western garbage the west calls "Metal".

If we are kawaii, then Metal is extremely non-kawaii and it's followers are baka gaijin.

We also have a near domination in the battle of matching outfits.

Do you see this? Hot chicks with rock guitars that are still kawaii. And they play better guitar than Metal "artists" or "noise makers" as they are referred to in Japan. Plus DO YOU LIKE SCHOOLGIRLS?

Because we got more schoolgirls then any other genre. And we can produce the greatest team photos of all time. Like this:

Did I mention this:

B-Baka should have led with this....

There is also manly music, so manly that not a single hair can be spotted on our chests...

Now let me tell you why OUR EVIL NEMESIS Metal "music" sucks.

Firstly, why is it called Metal? What metal? Osmium? Rhodium? Zirconium? This is why your music sucks, because it's based on aluminium. It makes NO sense.

And why do you all wear black? I guess it makes total sense that the saddest people on the planet (with a brain inbalance that causes this music to be palatable) would wear the saddest colour in the universe. Black.

Black as their own souls.

Whilst I'm on the subject of metal fans, why is there this massive inbalance in your boob size lineup???

Never would you see a front row in J-Pop allowed to be fillled with this vulgarity.

I would also question the intelligence of these "noisemaker" fans, who drum their heads to people skinning cats and banging trash cans:

Never have I seen a group so large, misintepreting a long known hand gesture. Even gorillas know how to do it right:

Instead your Zirconium music has leeched into society and ruined the whole meaning of swearing. To such an extent that even the Pope thinks it's done this way now too:

Following on the religious theme, Metal fans seem to be obsessed with Jesus.

Jesus.

Drummer Jesus

Gandalf Jesus

Ginger Jesus

Ginger Jesus' brother

Douchebag Fight Club Jesus

Baseball Jesus

The Creature from the Black Lagoon

All these people want to be True Christians, but the same inbalance in their brain chemistry that causes them to enjoy Magnesium noise bashing un-allows them to join their true calling.

Therefore there is only one conclusion: Jpop rules.

I was going to reply but I'm not good at tearing down another genre to prop up my favorite genre.

I like a lot of different genres but I do know a genre I don't like Rap or Hip-Hop.

I only chose metal as it's the one genre people here have mentioned they like. No one has really said what kind of music they are into.

My favourite genre is probably jazz, latin jazz too. But I like a lot of other stuff. Soul, R &B, Disco etc.

If I had to choose a favorite genre it is Metal particularly Power and Symphonic Metal.

I like a lot of different genres and would probably listen to anything except Rap and Hip-Hop.

Though there are a few Rap songs I like: Run DMC's version of "Walk This Way" and Anthrax and Public Enemy's version of "Bring the Noise."

Also if it is a parody of a Rap song or an original song based on an anime or video game I would like that song.

I read it last night.

Raven said that their favorite genre was pop and least favorite genre was metal.

I deleted my post because it was a passing comment that wan't in line with the spirit of this thread.

What Nintyfan said was correct about my post. I also wrote that Scandal was a very good Japanese Pop Rock band, and that I've been listening to them and K-Pop Bands 2NE1 and 4Minute recently.

For listening purposes I enjoy music which usually falls in any of the genres which developed from the African Diaspora.  In fact I like almost all I can think of with the exception of Blues which is too boring and depressing in its original basic form.  I enjoy Jazz, Soul, Funk, Bossanova, R&B, Disco, Hiphop, Reggae, Dub, Techno and House.

For the purposes of collecting/DJing nowadays I limit myself to mainly just House (and in fact very specific strains of it) and a little high bpm hiphop to mix things up a bit.  Mostly US Deep House from the 90ies onwards and a great deal of Jackin French House.  I never feel the need to talk about, defend, or preach about why I like my music is the best even though there are very specific and well defined reasons.  It also doesn't mean to say that all music in said genres is good.  On the contrary, when you become so invested in something your standards keep getting higher so you become more dismissive.  It's had a time when it was very popular and there were tunes on the charts even but nowadays it's very much niche.  You will either get it or you won't.  Most people don't.  It's their loss and they have shit taste but I will not try to talk them out of it.  Having said that I will mix music and play records for anyone who will listen and I often have people who come and tell me that they really enjoyed my sets even though they had no previous experience of this music.

Nice to get some insight on your musical tastes. This thread is meant to be a joke though.

Seems like too much effort for peeps to do a decent skit reply.
