This game is frustrating, but not soo much where you are pulling your hair out.   I think it's because the game is jus tso much fun.   There's one level where I must've died close to forty time, more my own fault for getting a little crazy pressing A.

Dying forty times and it's your fault?

I think not. Hrm

Ok, I didn't want to scare you away, GG. Nyaa

I rented the game yesterday though now I'm concerned that maybe I should have bought it. This game is as tough as the reviews said. Honestly I thought I'd be able to take this game out withint 3 or 4 days, but unless I do nothing but play it, I don't see that happening. Oh well, at any rate very fun.

Yeah steel, Retro have awesome art guys. You should see Metroid Prime 3 on an SDTV. They have a way of using angles, almost making geometric art. They can cut rocksides out of harsh angles and crude flat textures and make it look awesome.

I'm nearly at the seventh world, still impressed and loving this game.  There's a mine cart section in world 3 and one in world 6 that are just sublime.  In world 3, you end up rolling inside a curled piece of track.   In world six, you end up rolling on an egg, which starts to crack away, and you eventually end up inside the egg shell as it rolls.  You really need to just see it in action.  I love how varied the worlds are without relying on the cliched snow and fire worlds.  Each world has it's own personality and brings something new.

This game is so addictive that my wife started her own game.  It's interesting seeeing how our gaming styles contrast.  Judging by the Nintendo Channel records, we both have a combined 18 hours with the game.  I know that clock starts the minute you boot up, but you're probably looking at 15-20 total hours of gameplay from start to finish, based on how you play the game.  Not bad.

One of the two exceptional parts of the game!

I saw this crazy biyatch at the grocery store today. There were like a million bananas out on display, some in plastic wrapping, others loose. This crazy woman uses her arm to swipe away tons of bananas to reveal the brown cardboard box undernearth and starts physically ripping this box open to pull out more banana's presumably stock that isn't ripe yet. And she goes for that, as if it's so much better than the million bananas already out, she has to do that. I was surprised security didn't take her down.

That is amazing!

I really wish Nintendo made the WiiHD from the very start. I would've gladly paid more for it.  Sad

And...................it's finished  The final boss is a monster!  Lightning fast reflexes are required and the worst part is just getting to him! (GG would faint)  Overrall, I'd give this about a 9.5 or slightly higher.  So much platforming  goodness in one game.

It really is unbelievable how good this game is.  I've spent nearly two weeks, clocking in over twenty hours, playing over 70 great levels, with each providing a different experience from the previous ones.  Not bad for a game that many felt would just take a day to finish.

But there is so much more!! Completionists would just be scratching the surface by simply finishing it.  You have to open up the secret temples in each world, collect the rare(Rare?) orbs, open the Golden Temple, and complete the Mirror levels!

If you're looking for an awesome 2D platforming experience (quite possibly the best one ever) that is rich in content, with gorgeous visuals and sublime gameplay, then  Donkey Kong Country Returns may be your game!
