So where is everyone in this game? Edge looks like he's near the end, Vader's done. Leo? Archie? I'm still in China, but I'm a day away from moving on.
You're way past me. I'm not even IN China yet. I got hung up on the Corpse in the Police Station mission. THAT took me way too long and the side-mission where you need to go into the gang territory undetected, I was super anal about that one too. I've gotten a few Ghost (?) awards... or was that the Smooth Operator bonus... don't remember... but I am obviously being veeeerrrrry slow and stealthy.
I just beat Barret and most of the Cloak and Dagger Side Quest. All Ghost, all Smooth Operator. I've been almost completely undetected everywhere... I've been pure Stealth and Hacking.
Leo, China is awesome. I can't wait for you to get there.
Get your ass to Mars China!

Facial animations in the game aren't that hot. Other then that the game was fantastic. It reminds me of Metal Gear Solid in a lot of ways. 9 out 10.
Yeah I'm not done but its a 9 for me too most likely. You're right about the bosses, I just discovered how typhoon rips ass earlier today. Without typhoon it can be tough though, especially if your character is more of a stealth specialist.
Yeah. I was pretty much poopin' myself when i reached Barret, carrying only my Tranquilzer Rifle!

Weird. Even though I'm going for a no-kill run, I still have plenty of weaponary available for those special moments.
But man, good luck with the stealth run.
I love how this game almost seamlessly blends several genres together. I said that exploring Sarif's office building and interacting with fellow employess reminds me of Cyberdine in Perfect Dark. When I explore Detroit and China, acquiring skills and completing sidequests, it feels similar to Fallout 3. Of course, the progress however you like, stealthy or noisily gameplay reminds me of Metal Gear. And when I'm finally powerful enough to hack anything, jump anywhere, fall anywhere and break through walls, I certainly think of the exploration of Metroid. It's cool to go back and discover new areas just by busting through a weak spot.
I finished the game last night...loved the ending. Game is a definite 9 out of 10 for me....it stayed strong all the way through, and ended up being longer than I thought it was gonna be. These guys really nailed it. I actually liked Invisible War back in the day, but this game inarguably feels more like real Deus Ex, yet with a modern twist.
That said, Witcher 2 is still my GOTY so far. That game is going to be tough to beat, even for Zelda & Elder Scrolls.
