Doing tutorial bs thing right now, about to play with friends, anyone want to join?

Yes.
Keep it. As long as you don't have a habbit of flailing your arms around while gaming, it won't bother you, but it can make the difference between splatting your opponent or being splatted as it's a much faster way of aiming.
edit: oh, and if you ever catch GG online, be sure to keep jumping out and diving back into the ink all the time.
I admit I've been playing online without asking you guys because you cant join my ranked battle. Using the 92 gal I've been destroying the competition and winning matches for my team, but not scoring well because the fire rate is so low. For painting.

Why assume no one could join you? Last I checked I outranked you. I admit I haven't played any ranked battles yet though, but for no specific reason. .92Gal for the win!
If you want to score high, focus on area's that are unlikely to get painted over during the match. It's the amount of your ink covering territory when the timer hits 0 that counts.
edit: edited out an example of where such area exists. Just in case we should meet squid to squid.

Because whenever you click to join a friend the option is only for turf war? From what I can see. The problem I have is that with the .92 gal I dominate the opposition, killing the other team. Which leads to them painting less and my team winning. I had a 7 or 8 match winning run and quit.
But using the .92 Gal at the end of the match when the rankings and points are dished out, I'm only 3rd or 4th out of my team in points because I haven't been able to ink much turf with the small ink tank and slow fire rate. So it's a dilemma for me, do I use a gun that will more consistently win matches for my team or do I go back to a gun with a higher fire rate and larger ink tank? I could buy some clothing to save ink but the fire rate cant be changed by perks right?
I use the same gun, but I consistently rank 1st or 2nd. Maybe you're focusing on killing the oposition too much? I'll always focus on painting, only getting in firefights when people are in my way. Also, I get most my kills through the use of the Killer Whail, and inking the floor charges that up. I guess it's just a different way to play.
Speaking of which, from the NintendoEverything interview:
Since Splatoon matches users together based on how they play, Amano notes that those who tend to splat enemies are likely to play together. Likewise, those who concentrate on painting rather than splatting are more likely to get paired up.
That seems like a dumb way to do it, ideally you want a team with a balance of both.
Yeah, I hope that's a translation error. It's also not what I have experienced myself during play. This would lead to your team mostly remaining the same during multiple matches. I'm guessing the game just looks at the individual player's scores and tries to divide the team as equally as possible based on that.

The .92 gal has a echo locater as the special though, are you using a modified one? Yes I do tend to hunt out and kill the oppostion more with this weapon. I tend to either aggresively push forward or choose a high spot and rain down the pain because the range is so good too. With the Aerospray I tend to move and paint turf more.

My bad, I meant the .56Gal. yeah, the .96 is very slow. Is it a one hit kill gun? I tried using the nova blaster, but the range on that thing is pathethic. It can cover ground decently, and it doesn't consume a lot of ink, but the only way to kill anyone with it is to sneak up on them.

.96 isn't one hit but the range and accuracy are improved a lot. The range especially. You can rain down bloody hell from a high vantage point. The Nova is good for that level with all the shipping crates. I think if I could choose my special the Aerospray would be my fave.
Saw the new game mode in a video. Looks hilarious.
Really cool actually but chargers and snipers will own everyone.
Level 10
I like the zapper, the 50something gal, or the straight splattershot or whatever. It's fun, moving around in the ink feels so cool and when you get a good run going and you jump from ink to ink it makes that bloop noise, so fucking good. I'm not a fan of the fucking perk nature in the game (fuck you modern mp shooters) and its annoying running into cats who have 3 perks while I got one perk stuff. Assholes. Otherwise fun game, Squid Jump isn't too bad either. I'm surprisingly digging it.
Just hit level 18 tonight and unlocked the custom dual squelcher. This might finally be a weapon to my liking on par with the .56Gal. It has a great reach and sub and special are a beacon and the Killer Whail. I sure love my Killer Whail, and a I'm always envious of other players who can deplay beacons. Although I mostly see them being used by dimwits who will spawn one 2 meters away from their base... Drains a lot of ink though. Definitely going to give it a try next time I manage to get some games in.

What does a beacon do?

It lets you and your teammates squidjump to it as you could towards other people on your team.
BOOOOOO!!!!
