On final boss, once again the game throws shit your way just as you are enjoying it. You have to fight 6 guys before climbing up, facing off with the boss. The checkpoint isn't at the boss, so you have to fight the same six guys and climb up again to try again.

They dont tell you how to beat the boss, you are supposed to run close and wait for his claw to get caught in the ground. Because of the camera angle and lack of quick turn its difficult to know when this is happening. The slow running speed hurts it too.

This would dissuade me from buying it.  There is nothing worse than a poor final boss sequence (Heavenly Sword and The Conduit come to mind).

Well, the 6 last ghosts were not that a problem for me. Their re-spawn point is always the same and you could use them to replenish you life just in case. After a while it's very fast to banish them all.

The final boss... yeah it was a tricky one. I almost cried of frustration because of it. Its second form was the worse, I died so many times trying to understand what to do that I /facepalm when I finally found the trick totally randomly. >_>

Once you practice a bit and get your back to the wall, or in my case the crevasse, it was do-able dispatching the final 6 guys. The boss I had to read a faq for because they dont indicate what you are supposed to do.

Now that I think about it, this really was a pain in the ass. I had to look up a boss fight or two because I would get too frustrated to try to figure it out.

It's a small part of the game though and once you know what you have to do it's ok. I remember playing the last boss in omikron and even after looking up what I had to do I couldn't defeat the damn thing. But even then, I still enjoyed the game.

Oh yeah this guy where you had to rip his soul out with that move in the very small room. Its easy once you know how, but I had to look that up.

Yep, they had problems communicating moves properly and needed more clues for some bosses.
It's like why red steel is using the wii girl - they don't want people not getting the proper motions down and then trashing the game for it.

But it's a Wii game which means that game reviewers are incapable of learning how to use the controls properly, so even if it's simple and well explained and works perfectly the controls will be trashed!

I... didn't had any problem in the game. It was almost too easy (well actually it was too easy at the moment you had the projectile upgrade). The only tricky one was the final boss and it was just because you have to go behind him to notice the circles.
Well, also it may be because I'm not scared of spending hours in a game trying to figure things out, I'm kinda an oldschool gamer... from the old times... when games didn't had any saves.. and internet didn't exists.

...

Or maybe I'm just old ^^

Definitely easy for handling the lackeys. A couple of the bosses I couldn't figure out quickly - you probably developed a patience with games that I never had.  Figuring out patterns and timing in games is not a great ability of mine, even though I played arcade stuff to death when I was young. And I did like that pc games let you save anywhere you wanted.

Just because you're a woman, doesn't mean you're a lady Nyaa

The videopac was from 1978 to 1984 which means you're in your 30s I guess. Much like the rest of us.

Since you drink tea and thus qualify as a lady, I will allow it.

You're 2 years older than me, the mature older woman I see.

I thought most people around here were in their late 20s. It's refreshing to see the opposite.

The podcast contingent takes the under 30 category.
