I just checked and its the same here, only 7 episodes per disc and about £30 each. WTF? Never seen anything like that before.

I'm officially out of Clannad at 18 episodes. Fuck it to hell and back. Wasted my time thinking it would get somewhere or go somewhere but it's an utterly pointless show.

Crunchyroll has a 15% off coupon this weekend. I can now get all for volumes of Sword Art Online for a measly $338.32 shipped. Tempting! Nyaa

Well well, season 9 of Bleach was short but sweet. It's really a stand alone side story, which starts off fairly boring but then pulls some season 3 style conspiracy theories and confrontations worth paying attention too. There were still some ridiculous aspects and some really bad dialogue in one case.

I mean seriously the motivations of some characters "I want power, it was all about becoming the most powerful. Now you show me your true power. Now I will unleash my true power. Your power, where did you get it from? I've never seen a power like that. It's all about being the most powerful." there is one battle peppered with this nonsense, power for the sake of power is a pointless endevour... so lame.

So you're almost at The Final Showdown on Galuna Island. The island episodes are where the series starts to show it's better than the first few episodes would suggest. There are 183 episodes, I've seen about 70.

Plot Wikipedia:

Kill la Kill is set at Honnouji Academy , a fictional high school situated in Tokyo Bay, Japan. The school is dominated by its fearsome student council, led by Satsuki Kiryuin. The council members wear special uniforms called Goku Uniforms that grant them superhuman abilities, which they use to oppress the rest of the school's students and staff. Ryuko Matoi, a student wielding half of a scissor-shaped longsword, transfers to Honnouji Academy in search of the owner of the other half of the scissor blade, the person who killed her father. Defeated by the council after interrogating Satsuki over the killer's identity and whereabouts, Ryuko comes across a sentient sailor uniform she names Senketsu, who puts himself on Ryuko. Using Senketsu's special abilities, Ryuko stands up against Satsuki and her henchmen, the Elite Four, to liberate Honnouji Academy from their iron grip and solve the mystery of her father's murder. She befriends fellow student Mako Mankanshoku and lives with her family in the slums surrounding the academy.

I'd say nearly every fight in this anime feels like an over-the-top epic final boss battle. Also, despite the title, nobody has actually been killed in this show so far; they are just defeated, and stripped of their Goku Uniforms. The one exception was Ryuko's father, who had been killed prior to the first episode.

Crunchyroll versus Funimation

I have used both anime streaming services for about a month now, so I thought I'd share my opinion of each:

Crunchyroll is an awesome site. It has a crazy amount of exclusive content, it's fast, very easy to navigate, and it remembers where you last left off in a show, so you can easily go back to watch more. It also offers many newer shows in both 720p and 1080p. However, Crunchyroll has very few English dubbed shows (doesn't bother me, personally).

Funimation also has a crazy amout of exclusive content, and when watching a video, it is fast and smooth; HD videos are limited to 720p max, though--no 1080p, for you! Unlike Crunchyroll, they also offer both English dubbed and subbed anime for most of their shows. However, ther site navigation is absolutely awful! It's extremely sloooow--it can often take up to 30 seconds (or more) just to load a single page. It does NOT remember where you left off in a show, even if you have it in your queue. I have to remember which show I watched last time, and manually look up that episode number each time I vist their site. For some reason, creating a bookmark of the last video you watched often won't load, or it'll go back to the wrong episode. It's extremely annoying, and I waste a lot of time just trying to find the episode that I'm looking for. It's ridiculous for a streaming website to not have this feature, especially after they supposedly "relaunched" their site last fall.

If I could only subscribe to one site, it would be Crunchyroll. It's a near-perfect anime streaming site. Funimation's exclusive content is well worth the $8 per month, but navigation issues are a real pain in the ass, and I use their site far less because of it.

That's sad.

Can you test out both sites on the Wii U internet browser please?

Sorry, GG. I tried both sites on Wii U, but neither work. Both sites require Java to watch videos.
