I'd love to know what the definition of "gamer" here is. Are they counting people who play apps on their phone and Farmville on their Facebook account? If that's the case then sure that's probably accurate, and I have a feeling that's what they did. I know a lot of people in their 30's and early 40's who grew up with home consoles, PC's and handhelds and still play what most of us would consider traditional games to this day. But I can't say I've seen many people older than that buying these kinds of games at a Gamestop or Target.

Well, I'm 35, so that's pretty close.
They defineatly cast a wide net here. All the phone playing and Facebook casuals are included, no doubt in my mind. I'm a Dinosaur at 46 and still playing "tradional games" I don't play "phone games" and have tried some Facebook games here and there but really don't care for them all that much. I wonder how many others my age or close to, go out and buy console games for the big 3 and PC at B&M stores and online? I'm guess not all that many.
Yeah this survey sounds like it includes those other "games". The average age is obviously going to keep rising as long as we keep getting over but I dont see how it could be at 37 just yet. My generation would be the biggest gaming generation and we are still in our late 20s. Yes I just turned this into a generation war.
